I disagree, Klose was always the player who bounces back to form, he is currently 1 of the top German stars, I'd never bench him, especially for an outsider.

to be honest that's not really one of kloses qualities.
If you look at his stats especially on international level and also on bayern then he never managed to shine in the important game. WC 2002 he scored all his 5 goals in the first round 3 of them vs saudi arabia in an 8-0 rout. the only important (!) goal against one of the top nations in the world he has eveer scored is vs argentina.
If i was the coach I would never field klose in the important games. he has not tonis 100 % determination in those games. He is like david robinson in the nba. nice stats but never to be seen in the big games

Agent reveals Bayern Munich interest for Juventus' Zanetti
tribalfootball.com - June 01, 2008
Quote:
Juventus midfielder Cristiano Zanetti is a target for Bayern Munich.
Zanetti's agent, Carlo Pallavicino, said: "In conjunction with the refusal of (AC Milan's Rino) Gattuso, there was an enquiry from Bayern Munich about Cristiano Zanetti and he would be in a position to apply Article 17.
"But he wants to close his career with Juve. If it becomes apparent the intent of Juve is to prolong the contract, expiring in 2010, Zanetti would be very happy."

I usually don't allow tribalfootball articles posted, but this contains quotes, so I'll leave it there.
This is ridiculous though. Why in hell would we need this old fuck?

Zanetti is my player of the season. Id gladly keep our "old fuck", who despite sitting infront of the defense, managed to assist 9 goals (3rd in the league).
Juve's unsung hero and most consistent player. Ill be gutted if he leaves.
Bayern's interest goes back a few months, and his agent is using it to get a contract renewal.

How much do you reckon Bayern would have to pay?

If Juve are willing to sell, not very much.
He was signed on a free transfer (Moggi's last signing), and coupled with his age (31), if he really wants out, u would probably land him cheaply.

I wouldn't mind him tbh, he is definitely an improvement on van Bommel, who can't tackle and is supposed to be our strongest DM..
His passes are pretty good, I remember a couple of his assists.
His age is the problem though, I don't want a new DM just for a couple of seasons, I want someone who can play at least 5 seasons.

no thanks, we are not Milan .
We aren't a museum, no players over 30 signed ... there are some exceptions, Like Toni who shined in his late twenties, Goalkeeprs .

I doubt we are interested in him. His agent is trying to raise his price in the market by using the name of FC Bayern for that.
Sorry azzuri, I mean no offense, but, it's a shame to Bayern being linked with Zanetti. We can do much better.

We have been linked with Nicklas Bendtner of Arsenal (£8 million).
