The Board said no more transfers will be made this summer, and yet, we've made two.
One in (Oddo) and one out (Jansen).

Well, it comes as no surprise. The Board has probably seen that this team doesn't have depth and won't go far, so they're acting quickly before it's too late.
We've been linked with Jeremy Toulalan today.

At this point I am all for getting another player, even another DM, as MvB has gone down the shitter. We need additional players, especially with the CL looming. We only have a few days until the transfer window closes, so I hope Bayern add one more player.

We have just been linked with Anatoly Tymoschuk.
He is Ukrainian, 29 years old, defansive midfielder, captain of Zenit St. Petersburg.

Oh yeah! I really liked him when we played Zenit in the UEFA cup. He is tough, fast, looks like he gives it his all, etc. This would be good, especially if we could get him cheap, but Zenit now of days wants to make some money off their players. IMO he would be a better player and just as agressive as MvB, but he seems smarter when he gets cautioned. Anyway, since ZeRo is older and on his last year, with MvB progressively getting older and complacent, this guy would really fit the bill!

Problem is, he gets paid a lot at Zenit. Bayern can afford his wages too, but, we have some stars in the club that get paid less than him, so it wouldn't be fair, would it? I doubt he would accept a cut in wages.
If we'll pay him like Zenit do, or probably more, than no doubt we'd have to offer new deals to our current players, otherwise they won't be happy.

How much does he get at Zenit?
But, i dunno. How many chances will someone have to play with Bayern Munich? You think he'll pass that up?

Jansen out, Oddo in. Who comes next? Apparently a new striker and a so-called "6-er".
According to BILD's sources from England, Bayern are very much interested in Dimitar Berbatov.
Manchester United have made a 30 million euros offer, and Tottenham Hotspur have turned it down. But, they've brought Roman Pavlychenko. There is chance they will let Berbatov go. And, they would rather sell him to FC Bayern than to a Premiership rival such as Man Utd.
The search for a DM doesn't seem to be over: Anatoly Tymoschuk is a candidate.
Transfer window is open until 1 September. 4 days left to make the transfers.
"It is possible that we will do something in the next four days before the transfer window is closed on Monday", Uli Hoeness declared.
"As for the transfer fees, we have new room for manouvre. We will also use the 9 million Euros of Jansen's transfer to HSV", Hoeness added.

I'm sure Bayern will move switfly in the last remaining hours of the transfer window.
On Berbatov, it ain't happening. Really. I mean. 3 star strikers... now a 4th? Fuck no. It'll be a fucking soap opera all fucking season long; whinnying and grumping that they aren't happy.
The DM guy, don't really know him. Anyone ever seen him play? And where does he play?

Bayern In For Berbatov?
Quote:
We’ve seen Jansen out, and Oddo in at the Allianz Arena, could Bayern Munich be set for a shock move for Spurs striker Dimitar Berbatov?
Reports in Germany claim that Bulgarian forward Dimitar Berbatov is high on the Bayern Munich wanted-list and a shock move for the Tottenham star could be on the cards.
There are also claims that the hunt for a defensive midfielder is not over with Zenit St.Petersburg’s Anatoli Tymoschuk a candidate for Bayern’s engine room.
The German Football League (DFL) extended the deadline for the closing of the transfer window until midnight on Monday, so that leaves Bayern with four days to bring in any more players.
Club manager Uli Hoeneß said yesterday: “It could be that we complete something in the next few days before the end of the transfer period.
“The transfer pot we have available has also changed and we’ll use it” he added.
Bayern have received a reported €9 million for full back Marcell Jansen from Hamburg. Massimo Oddo has arrived on a free loan deal from AC Milan
It was reported earlier in the summer that Bayern were prepared to offer €25 million for Mario Gomez, so a similar offer for Berbatov is not beyond the realms of possibility.
The Bulgarian joined Tottenham in 2006 for 16 million from Bayer Leverkusen and is under contract in North London until 2009.
Manchester United have recently seen a 30 million offer rebuffed by Spurs, but Juande Ramos’ side now have Roman Pavlyuchenko on their books after signing the 26 year old from Spartak Moscow.

Klinsmann today said that he is curious to see who's coming next. Apprently, we're in negotiations with Zenit for Anatoly Tymoschuk. DSF meanwhile suggests Bayern are interested in Andrei Arshavin aswell.
It's getting quite interesting..

Signing Andrei Arshavin or Dimitar Berbatov, with Lukas Podolski, Miroslav Klose and Luca Toni already on the roster, would be a terrible mistake, too many undisputed starters for only 2 positions. As for Anatoly Tymoshuk, he is a typical number 6, great physical presence, can play as center-back, very good tackler and shoots well from distance. Also, he does what no other player in the Bayern roster does and that is sitting in front of the defence, giving more freedom to the other midfielders. I think he would be a great addition for FC Bayern, an experienced defensive-midfielder is exactly what you are lacking at the moment.

We should consider Anatoly Tymoshuk our top priority.
ZeRo is moving out and MVB tends to fuck up time to time. We could use a player of his qualities.
