I completely disagree with you.
Our squad is top tier.
Our biggest problem is deciding WHO to put on the field because everyone is so talented. Very few teams have that problem, and it's a great one to have.
The only truly weak point we have is at goalie, and that's just because he's unproven.
I think every player in the starting 10 is on their national team, correct? (short of Rensing). Many of those on a German team that just went to the Euro finals.
You seem to be pushing for a CDM. And, by using your logic, if we bring in a CDM, we'll be a CL contender??? Hardly any of the CDM's you mentioned are world-class talents. How is that supposed to make us a favorite?
On top of all that, look at the formations Klinsmann is playing with (3-5-2), I think we'll survive.

That's it?
You can't be serious. You really think we're going to flop in the CL because we don't have a "world-class CDM" as you say?
You're killing me dude, seriously.

Xabi Alonso wechselt zum FC Bayern - sportal.de Gerücht des Tages
We have been linked with Xabi Alonso of Liverpool, again. The article claims the talks have already taken place.
I doubt there is any truth in this, anyway. Klinsi & Co. have made it clear there won't be any new signing this summer.
Xabi was linked for a month with Juventus, however, the move didn't happen, and Juve got Poulsen instead.

yeah article says it is a maximum of 20 % propability.
besides why would we need any bench player of another club ? not going to happen.
To comment on the upper posts that we are not ready for champions league.
I totally disagree. We have a strong team. We have the right mix of young guns and veterans. If we would have got gattuso i would say we are favourites this year to win it.
Anyway I'm really certain that quarter finals is the minum we will make this year. And if we play real then it's a certain spot in the semis

Why does every word start with an uppercase letter? Sorry to go off topic, but this was just something I really had to ask.:S
Back on topic, I agree with those who think we're more than ready to seriously compete in the Champions League this year. As long as all players play to their potential and we don't hit a slump at the wrong time, we should be up there pretty high by the end. The Bundesliga is a given + the Cup as well (it should be anyway, anything can still happen). For the CL, I'm setting my hopes on at least a semi-final this year. Bayern can do it! AUF GEHTS IHR ROTEN!

Why the hell does everyone think we need to be linked to everyone's new signings -- to increase their values and status -- do they think Bayern are dumb fucks or just desperate? If Bayern wants players they would be in our team first, not us trying to pick over new signings in other clubs. Message to the media -- we have all our players and will not sign anyone else? wake up and keep up to date!@

Hoeneß: Gomez Was Nearly Ours
Quote:
Bayern Munich manager Uli Hoeneß has revealed that the Bavarians were on the verge of signing Mario Gomez this summer only for Stuttgart to pull the plug on the deal at the last minute.
Gomez committed himself to Stuttgart earlier this week by saying that he would definitely be staying with them for another season, but the revelation from Hoeneß that the German international was keen on a move puts a different spin on the news.
Bayern have long been fans of Gomez and were widely tipped to sign him after the European Championships, but VfB scuppered the deal by saying he was not for sale at any price.
The Bayern manager famed for his forthright opinions and the fact he loves to wind people up has now claimed that Gomez was very interested in the move only for the Swabians to dash his hopes.
"We were in agreement with him, but that is now worthless since Stuttgart called it off" he told Munich's TZ newspaper.
"I think it is a shame, but we cannot change it.
"We really tried to get him and Stuttgart turned us down this year, but next year we can start over again."
|
Good that we didnt buy him this season , we have a 3 good strikers , i think that for the future he will be good for us not now .

Bayern Gomez offer rejected
Quote:
Stuttgart have confirmed they have turned down Bayern Munich's €25million (£19.7m) offer for Mario Gomez.
Had Stuttgart agreed the deal it would have been the most expensive transfer between two Bundesliga clubs and matched the record for signing a player outside the German league.
Bayern paid that amount in 2007 to French club Marseille for Franck Ribery, as did Borussia Dortmund to Serie A team Parma for Marcio Amoroso in 2001.
Only last month Gomez, who is tied to the club until the summer of 2012, stated he was happy at Stuttgart and not looking to leave.
However, Bayern seem unmoved by their initial setback after manager Uli Hoeness said the club would make another offer for Gomez next year.

Holy shit.
That much for Gomez??
Ribery's price was acceptable considering how skilled he is and all.
But for a striker? That price is equal to both prices we paid for Toni & Klose (or at least approx.)
