Gattuso would add an extra something to our midfield, something we don't have in van Bommel, let alone Ottl.

Borowski is also joining next season, our midfield is shaping up very nicely. I really hope we can finish this deal. Even if Sagnol moves to Milan in the process, he is a good player but we have options for RB, whereas we lack a true DM like Gatts.

I'm half and half about getting Gattuso. He's short tempered which I don't like.
The age thing doesn't concern me, he's experienced which of course I like and I think he's an excellent DM. But for that much money? I don't know.
At least that will make Toni happy having a fellow Italian at Bayern.

I totally agree to sign Gattuso, he is great player with a lot of experience for CL, mabe he is bad tempered player and reackt too quickly but he will fill that empty space when Kahn leave us and I agree that he is in the top 3 worlds best DM players.

Lastest I read ... According to Goal.com, Rino Gattuso has accepted a big-money contract offer from Bayern Munich, with only the barrier in the way of the midfielder moving to Germany being an agreement of a transfer fee, which could be 12.5 million euros or more.

Any rumors on if this is going to happen? If so, what happens to Borowski? Does he come off the bench?

Well, according to my 'sources', Gattuso was not even inlcuded in the squad for their match today against Udinese (4-1) (btw, they will play in UEFA Cup next season ).

So, this must mean something.

Toni Backs Gattuso Bayern Move

Bayern Munich hit-man Luca Toni is pushing his club towards signing Milan's Gennaro Gattuso, who seems on his way out of San Siro.

The Milan midfielder still has a contract, but he has become unsettled at the club and he has been used sparingly by Ancelotti over the course of the season.

Gattuso will meet Milan directors this week to talk about his future and it is expected that he will ask for a transfer request. Toni has revealed that he would like Gattuso to join him in Bavaria.

"I told the directors that I would like an Italian player here for the company, and also to add some quality," said Toni.

"Rino (Gattuso) is a Milan player and he has to make a decision with his club. For me he is a strong player and a lot of clubs want him."

The Italian international striker added, with a gleam in his eye, that he was looking to keep the delights of Munich all to himself.

"Playing here would be great: he (Gattuso) asked me what life is like here and I told him it's not good, that way he doesn't come," joked Toni.


"He called me recently to congratulate me for winning the Bundesliga but I haven't heard from him since."

Gattuso is likely to leave the Rossoneri and Bayern is likely to be his next destination. It is claimed that he is not happy at the club and wants a new challenge.

Milan To Replace Gattuso With Diarra?

AC Milan are ready to replace the outgoing Gennaro Gattuso with Real Madrid’s Mahamdou Diarra, according to La Stampa.

Gattuso seems likely to leave the Rossoneri, and has already agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich to join them this summer.

The 30-year-old will hold talks with Adriano Galliani this week, where the Milan transfer guru will attempt to persuade him to stay.

"Mr Gattuso has a great contract and now must let us know what he intends to do, as we did when Sheva wanted to go to Chelsea,” said Galliani.

"He has always said, moreover, that he's taken more than he deserves from us, so he must assume his responsibilities and make us understand if he does not want to stay."

If these talks are unsuccessful, Milan will allow Gattuso to be sold to Bayern, and according to La Stampa, will try to sign Real Madrid’s Mahamdou Diarra as a direct replacement.

The Malian has been tipped to leave the Spanish champions for quite sometime now due to his frosty relationship with Coach Bernd Schuster.

Gattuso Commits Future To Milan

Bayern Munich will have to look elsewhere for a defensive midfielder with the news that Milan star Gennaro Gattuso will remain with the Rossoneri.

The Bundesliga side had been strongly linked with the tenacious Milan midfielder, but the Italian World Cup winner has committed his future to the Serie A giants until 2011.

“We are still friends and I am going to stay at the club another three years and will also end my career here” he explained after a meeting with Milan vice president Adriano Galliani and trainer Carlo Ancelotti.

Gattuso joined the club in 1999 from Glasgow Rangers and has gone on to become a favourite with the home fans for his combative and never-say die attitude.

However the 57-capped Italian international will have to settle for playing in the Uefa Cup next season after the Rossoneri could only finish fourth this season.

With veterans Cafu and Serginho definitely leaving the club, the news that Gattuso will be remaining comes as a boost to Milan, who have also been buoyed by the news that Paulo Maldini will play on for another year.
