12m € doesn't seem to high at all, for one of the best DM's in the world. Under 5.5m € per season is a reasonable amount.
And Sagnol is going to the other way, so all is good.

I'm loving this!

Blackness I dont like this as much as you do, but its clearly that they want him, well he can always be sold after his 1st season if he flops.

Why is he the 'bad side of football'? It's not like he's very violent, I think his last red card was almost two years ago. He does play hard but he's a real fighter and with Kahn leaving, we need someone like that. He does like to argue with the referees a lot tho and while that' not a problem in Seria A, it sure is in the Bundesliga. So hopefully he'll manage to keep his temper in check at least a bit.

Isn't Toni in his 30's too ?

Gattuso is well worth that, he is an awesome DM, top 3 in the world for me.

Thank you for mentioning Toni's age with everyone complaining about GG's.
I don't see how anyone could be upset with this signing. Its a win-win-win for bayern.
Toni gets his fellow Italian he wanted, bayern gets experience added to their roster before the CL, we didnt throw every cent we had at him, AND we won't have to see ottl on the field as much anymore! He isn't bayern quality.
He will thrive here.

I agree, he will be vital should we complete his signing.

Btw, if Gattuso joins, either Ottl or MvB will leave.

I'd loan out Ottl

I would love to see Gattuso in the Bundesliga but I think he is a bit short tempered.

But maybe he can fill the hole Kahn will leave.

Btw here a video that proofs that you should never mess around with Gattuso.

I agree with loaning out Ottl. He IS a talented german young player who deserves to gain some experience, but I wouldn't want to lose him. ZeRo moves on after next season, so we should keep MvB and ZeRo will probably come off the bench due to his age -- and he probably knows that. That would leave Mvb and Gattuso in the center. Really the coach should be the one telling players to calm down, even MvB has cooled his heels from past seasons. So I bet Gattuso will be lectured on being less hot tempered. The more I think about this signing, I actually am getting used to Gattuso coming. i guess I had problems because he was such a thorn in Bayern's side all those years in the CL when we played Milan, and caused a couple of injuries for us. Its better to have him as a friend on our team than our enemy, and its probably what Bayern are thinking since we will be in the CL next season.

Good points MM.

Agreed on Ottl being loaned out to get experience, I'd rather if he stays in BL. And also having Gattuso on the team.

I disagree about ze Roberto being benched because of his age though, he still runs like a 20 year old, I'd say he is one of the fittest players in the squad, he never looks tired to me.

Nice snatch getting Gat in. Him and Ze next season should be immense in the centre. Two old pros able to get their miles in. Experience and engines, win-win, regardless of their ages.

It's said if you're good enough your old enough. The same is true for the other end of the age scale imo.
