We need to get after Cottbus from the start!! none of this penny ante shit, get with it and lay it all down!! Get our best players, kick it in the ass, and attack cottbus. Of course cottbus will pull some defensive minded shit like sticking 11 players in the box, but we need to take our chances and be accurate. Ribery should still be able to dribble through all of them and make a difference.

The Anderlecht match doesn't reflect anything absolutely. That wasn't the real Bayern.
I don't expect Cottbus to cause us problems honestly. I don't like their stadium though, the pitch and shit, but that's it.
We have to field a good and serious team. An early goal would certainly be a real boost.

‘Important match’ | Klose and Lucio doubtful for Cottbus trip
Thursday was a good day for autograph hunters and diehard fans at the Säbener Strasse. Unusually for the day after a match, almost the entire squad was present for late morning training. The group comprising those who were in the previous evening’s matchday squad performed the customary light stretching and jogging, but the remaining players completed a programme of sprints, medicine ball lifting, a practice match and shooting at goal. Afterwards, Luca Toni and Co enthusiastically attended to their signing duties.
The busy scene at club headquarters also included a minor scare when Marcell Jansen went into a tackle, only to emit a loud cry and collapse to the turf clutching his left ankle. The left-back was able to continue after treatment and is not considered doubtful for Saturday’s trip to Cottbus, although he sat out the shooting practice part of the session.
Schweinsteiger and Zé Roberto return
By contrast, Miroslav Klose and Lucio currently look unlikely starters for the meeting with the relegation-threatened side from the Lausitz region. Klose is struggling to shake off a knock to the left ankle sustained against Anderlecht, while Lucio is nursing an Achilles problem. The pair both missed training on Thursday.
There was better news of Bastian Schweinsteiger (bruised thigh) and Zé Roberto (flu). The midfield pair have both been declared fit and played a full part in Thursday’s squad programme. Schweini and Ze could well be restored to the team in Cottbus. Luca Toni, who served a one-match ban against the Belgian champions, and Oliver Kahn (rested) will almost certainly join them, but Mark van Bommel is still suspended in the Bundesliga.
No experiments in Cottbus
“It’s back to the serious stuff against Cottbus,“ commented Ottmar Hitzfeld, after using the Anderlecht clash for a few try-outs and experiments. “We were basically already through after winning 5-0 at their place. It was a chance for some of our players who normally don’t start, and I learned a few useful things.“ However, the General is guaranteed to continue his rotation policy in Cottbus.

I'm not worried much of a possible Klose absence. Lucio is another matter though, it could ruin our line-up plans.
It's great to have Zé Roberto back, I've missed him. Good news also that Schweini is back.
I'd like to see the 1 DM, 2 wings and 1 CM formation again.
Micho in DM (only if Lucio is available), Ribéry and Hamit in wings, and Schweini in the centre.
Lucio (I hope so) and Van Buyten in the heart of defence, Lell on the right, and Jansen on the left.
Podolski and Toni in attack. And, of course, King Kahn in goal.

Completely agree with that. Lell may be dodgy in defense but he bombs forward a lot more than any other of our full backs and Jansen is the best we have atm.

Lell is a hell of alot better than Sagnol at this moment IMO, and Jensen should be preferred over Lahm -- as I'm not sure what drugs he is on at the moment. IF we are to attack cottbus, then using an only 1 DM formation seems better. Mid-field should be Ribery-Schweini-Altinop with Ze or MvB in DM. With Ze out for almost 2 weeks it hard to say he would start, but defnitely him one half at least.

MVB is suspended, remember.
I mentioned Zé Roberto in my early post, and yet I forgot to include him in the line-up. If he's fit enough, he will start, I have no doubt about that. I've missed him, hopefully he makes the comeback.
So, that in mind, Micho will return to CB, whether Lucio is available or not. If Lucio is fit, he will bench Van Buyten again. If Lucio is not fit, he will play in his place.

I wouldn't be so sure about ze starting buddy.
You have to keep in mind that cottbus will play nasty. lots of ugly cheap fouls and their pitch looks like a potato acre. Not the thing for ze. I think Micho is more the kind of guy in DM for that kind of match

We have to get all 3 pts here. It will be a crucial match, IMO. I think Bremen are a bit down in spirit and Wolfsburg might get to take advantage. But whatever, we have to do what we must, which is to win.
Agree on what Eric said. Playing ZeRo in such a crappy pitch is too risky right now. I don't Lucio will be fit on time, for which Demichelis will partner Van Buyten. So i dunno how the midfield could be played out.

I think Poldi is due for a brace ... Of course, now that I've written that, it'll be someone else who gets the double.

As long as Ottl gets benched, we'll be fine.
We can still play the DM formation, put van Bommel on that position. If not then we can always use Hamit in the center alongside side van Bommel in our regular 4-4-2

Yes, he is. His suspension finishes with this match.
Micho has also been suspended, but from the club. He has refused to play in DM and Hitzfeld has punished him.
According to Hitzfeld, first choice CB's now are Lucio and van Buyten.
