Bayern look to dash Aberdeen dream
Aberdeen FC are still dreaming of a second famous triumph against FC Bayern München as they travel to Germany in the UEFA Cup Round of 32 level at 2-2.
• Aberdeen have now played 19 games against German sides, winning five, drawing six and losing eight. They have yet to win in nine games in Germany, drawing twice and losing seven times.
• Bayern have now played 16 matches against Scottish opponents, winning seven, drawing six and losing three. They have never lost at home in eight games against Scottish sides, winning five and drawing three.
• Bayern's Luca Toni is the joint-top scorer in the UEFA Cup with six goals, along with Helsingborg IF's Henrik Larsson and Razak Omotoyossi.
• Aberdeen have not won in their last five European away games, and have scored only once in those five games – two draws and three defeats.
• Bayern have not lost in their three European home games this season, winning two and drawing one.
• The aggregate winners will meet the victors of the tie between RSC Anderlecht and FC Girondins de Bordeaux in the Round of 16 on 6 and 12/13 March, playing the second leg at home. Anderlecht won the first leg in Belgium 2-1.
• Aberdeen's Michael Hart is within a booking of missing his next UEFA competition game, as are Bayern's Luca Toni and Mark van Bommel.

No-risk policy | Ribéry still doubtful for Aberdeen clash
Forty-eight hours ahead of the UEFA Cup Round of 32 return against Aberdeen, superstar winger Franck Ribéry remains a doubtful starter for Bayern. The French international, sidelined for ten days so far with a torn hamstring, was unable to resume the squad programme on Tuesday and appears increasingly unlikely to face the Dons at the Allianz Arena on Thursday evening.
“It’ll be a very, very close-run thing,” Bayern assistant coach Michael Henke informed fcbayern.de. Ribéry spent Tuesday morning working out under the supervision of fitness coach Thomas Wilhelmi, but a return to the team programme has been ruled out until Wednesday afternoon at the earliest. “We’re not prepared to take any risks,” Henke continued.
Schweinsteiger sits out session
Zé Roberto failed to complete the squad workout on Tuesday, breaking off the session after an hour, but Henke said there was no cause for concern. The 33-year-old Brazilian leads the way in appearances for the club this season, “and we don’t want to overburden him,” the assistant boss explained.
Bastian Schweinsteiger sat out the session in its entirety with a tight calf, “but it was merely precautionary,” commented Henke, who expects both midfielders to be fully fit for the meeting with the side lying eighth in the Scottish Premier League.
Demichelis and Breno sidelined
By contrast, Martin Demichelis is a definite non-starter. The Argentine defender faces another ten or so days on the sidelines with a muscle strain. Winter signing Breno is also out of contention for Thursday. The 18-year-old has recovered from a stomach virus but was restricted to a workout on the exercise bike on Tuesday.

We'll win this game. We always see the same build up to these types of games and who will play and who won't -- and its always a psychological thing. And Hitzfeld is good for a few surprises. Ribery will probably play. Too bad we can't see Breno in action yet with Demichelis sidelined though. Regardless of statistics, bayern will not throw away their chances in the UEFA cup - Bayern know that Aberdeen will come at them in full force, but eventually tire themselves out and with all their injuries (even if they had everyone fit) they just don't have the quality to match Bayern!

I just hope Bayern doesn't fall behind again. They've done well facing deficits recently, but that would open the door for Aberdeen to put a ton of pressure on the Bavarians. It would be nice to see BM get up a goal in the first 10, and add at least one more before half. ... I'm predicting Schweinsteiger scores. I don't expect to see Ribery at all.

Ribery is gonna be a close call. You also have to keep in mind that we have a really hard game against HSV on Sunday. I think Hitz will put him on the bench and then depending on the score maybe sub him in the 60th, oh no wait 72nd , to give us a push if we need it.
But i think the game will be over by then, so he will get a good rest for the Hamburg game

Yeah we must score goal in a first 15 min, that will kill them, we must win this match, one Aberdeen cant monkey with us! BM need to be 100% serious in this match and not overrate them.

I've got good hopes for Bayern. I think just by seeing our Stadium will be intimidating enough for Aberdeen. lol
But it would be a big drag if Bayern lost at home....Just think how the media would react to that.
But like I said, I'm sure Bayern can do it.

^ You can check out the GFX section for a Klose sig or simply ask BlackNess, to see if he lets you use the sigs of Klose which i strongly believe he had made.
