The way i see it, is that Borowski will just take Ottl's slot ('cause this arrival will definetly make him want to leave) and they'll be rotating. MVB plays two games straight, Borowski plays two games straight afterwards, etc.

Nono, it's not for sure. It could have been just speculations.

What surprises me is that there are no source in the net on that issue. So it could be Croatian media bullshit.

Anyway.. I'm sure Borowski has had a few offers in the table, alongside the Bayern one.

If he wasn't secured a starting place, I doubt he'd have signed.

Btw, just checked SportBild website, there is a poll over Boro.

62.2% have voted on "He will sit either on the bench or stands", while 37.8% are positive on him and voted "He will establish a starting place".

No idea how many people have voted, as there's no number.

I won't judge on the poll, as a result of that.

^If MVB leave than is ok to be starter, but if he stay, there is not space for him in first XI... only that rotating that Vargas 4 sad.

Not a bad percentage i think. You have to keep in mind that a lot of pissed Bremen fans will have voted here., And also a majority of not Bayern fans over Bayern fans.
Hamit had a lot worse odds this season. No one expected him to even start a game.
that in mind 4 out of 10 who think he will start is really good odds.

And on MvB. I'm not that happy with him anymore. Klinsmann also prefers players like Frings as DM. Fast intelligent players who know where to stand, can win the ball without a foul and immediatly initialize a counter attack.
That sounds like ze roberto but sure not like MvB to me.

I can see him leave in summer espescially if klinsi signs a new dm...

Quote:
fcbayern: Uli Hoeneß, Werder Bremen confirmed on Sunday that Germany international Tim Borowski is coming to Bayern. Is it true?
Uli Hoeneß: “Yes, that’s correct. We’ve agreed with Tim Borowski’s management that he’ll come to us for three years starting on 1 July. It’s a verbal agreement at the moment, but the necessary contracts will be signed in the next few weeks.“

fcbayern: Some people have drawn the conclusion that Borowski’s decision may have been prompted by Jürgen Klinsmann. Is there any connection at all?
Hoeneß: “It’s a coincidence. As you can imagine, you don’t start organising this kind of transfer on a Friday and finalise it by Sunday, we’d been talking for a few days beforehand. But Jürgen has been informed of developments and thinks it’s a very good move.“

I really don't know why Bayern takes Borowski. They have Ze Roberto and van Bommel or even Ottl ...

Zé Roberto is 33. Van Bommel is 30. They won't last long, you know.

Ottl is young, but he's nowhere near the quality of Borowski, and also, not exactly of the same position.

Ze can last at least one more season, than I think he'll retire and join Elber as Bayern's scout in Brazil.

Van Bommel should be replaced this summer anyway, so I can see him leaving sooner than expected.

Ottl is IMO a player we should keep, he adds depth to the CM position and he is atm the only DM (in every sense of the word ) that we have

Clearly not my favorite player, but he is useful as a squad player. Besides DM, he can also play CB and RB if we're desperate, so that's good

I've always been sceptical over Ottl. I don't know... I think he's a solid DM, but certainly not FCB level, not good enough for a major competition such as Champions League. He's always not noticed much in the field, I just don't trust him, much better players around. I would let him go for a reasonable price.

Sometimes players aren't noticed much, but do their job efficiently. I agree that he isn't good enough to start for Bayern in CL, but for cup games and minor league matches, he is good to have around. He is still young, can improve and as far as I know, he is a product of the Bayern youth academy, always good to have some.

Bingo! Reasonable price and not for free, which will most likely happen as I think his contract runs out at the end of the season

I dunno why you are so skeptical about Ottl. He was officially called man of the match in the Inter - Bayern game and he was one of the few players that were actually doing something against Milan in Italy
Also I don't get why you hate Bommel so much, when you probably saw what happened when we played without him in Stuttgart. Ze just "needs" him and he is a great leader but shouldn't be given the captain's armband as he starts to show-off more than focus on his playing.
