Who will replace Hoeness in manager position?
was just reading sport1.de and i really didn't like what i read.
They said that from "informed circles" at bayern they are sure that the replacement for uli hoeness when he quits in 2009 to become president will be:
....
his brother dieter manager at hertha berlin. I mean come on. that guy just bought flops for the last 5 years. (alex alvez, lima, gimenez ) not a SINGLE good transfer and he lost all the talented players they ever had. deisler, the boatengs, dejagah..... I seriously hope this is just speculation cause this guy really sucks.
get allofs from bremen or heldt at stuttgart or maybe even oliver kahn or scholli but not this dork. please !

Dieter? Hell no!! It won't happen.
Allofs is a good manager, but he's tied at Werder. Heldt ain't nothing really.
Doesn't mean we have to get a manager from other teams, we have some club legends we can hire.

anyway that's what the article says
uli himself said that several times he can't put a 30 year old in such a position mostly aimed at oli kahn and that he will go to japan anyway after the end of his career. allofs is also ruled out for obvious reasons that doesn't leave a lot if you look closely and dieters contract def runs out in berlin in 2009 cause they already have a contract with the former player preez who will take 100 % over there...
again i totally agree. this would be the worst thing to happen to bayern ever. but sport1 are normally pretty good informed and they said it's "highly likely"

Damn.
It will be hard to find a manager of Uli's calibre.

Don't you even think of stealing us Allofs.
But I am sure you will find someone else.
Maybe Mathäus. XD

Allofs coy on Bayern switch
Werder Bremen general manager Klaus Allofs has refused to confirm or deny reports that he is set to move to Bayern Munich in the summer.
Allofs' contract runs out this summer and, after eight seasons at the club, he is reportedly set for the role that will be vacated at Bayern after Uli Hoeness moves upstairs at the end of the season.
"I cannot confirm that I will stay in Bremen," Allofs told Germany's Bild newspaper. "Bremen is my first port of call and I will not negotiate with other clubs at the same time, but it is true that there is interest from other clubs.
"The board know of this interest."
Allofs - a former Germany international striker - has managed at the club since 1999 in one of their most successful eras, winning a Bundesliga title in 2004.

I would like to have Mehmet Scholl as manager? I dunno. Someone who has a really good relationship with the Bayern Board.

Allofs is the perfect man for the position.
It would be great to have him on board.

^ agreed
i really never thought we could have him, but if there is just a little chance we can sway him away from Bremen i would say go for it ! Allofs is the best Manager in the league he has proven this every year when he bought players some didn't know or even thought flops and has made Bremen the second best team in Germany with a lot less money than Bayern has.
I still don't think he will leave Bremen but we should try everything to get him. Best man for the job

ALLOFS QUELLS BAYERN TALK
Werder Bremen director of sport Klaus Allofs has played down talk of a move to Bayern Munich.
Allofs' deal with Bremen expires in 2009, the same time as his Bayern counterpart Uli Hoeness vacates his position to move on to the club's board.
The Bavarian giants are known to be keen on Allofs, and he recently said that Bremen "knew about the interest of other clubs" and that he "cannot confirm I will be staying in Bremen".
He also said that he would first talk to Bremen before anybody else, although the ball is not in his court.
"All I said was that I cannot give my word to Werder because this is not only my responsibility," he told Kicker magazine.
"It is primarily the role of the board to decide about that."
And they are in no doubt as to what they want for the future.
"We certainly want our co-operation with Allofs to continue," explained chairman Jurgen L Born, who is preparing to write up a new contract this weekend.
