Well I have no problem with it if his play equals out to the amount we paid him.
He could turn out to be great for us!

You're a retard if you think the actual players will drop their numbers for newcomers.

Ribery leaves Marseille for Bayern Munich
MARSEILLE, France, June 7 (Reuters) - France midfielder Franck Ribery has joined Bayern Munich on a four-year deal, Olympique Marseille chairman Pape Diouf said on Thursday.
"We have helped Franck to get where he is today and we are not really happy to let him go," Diouf told the club's Web site (www.om.net).
Bayern will have to pay a 26.0 million euro ($35.09 million) transfer fee and then an additional 4.0 million if the German club qualify for the Champions League at the end of next season, sources close to the matter said.
"It's a good financial operation for the club, which proves Marseille can adapt to a market that is not easy," Diouf said.
Ribery, 24, had joined Marseille in 2005. One of the revelations of last year's World Cup, he has played 18 matches for France, scoring two goals.
Other leading European clubs, including Arsenal and Real Madrid, had also expressed an interest in him.
The player was expected to pass a medical on Thursday in Munich and to hold a news conference there later in the day.

A lot of money that. Obviously with the money you got for Hargreaves you can afford it but €26m plus €4m if the team qualify for the CL is a lot for Ribery.
I'm a bit surprised he's gone to the Bundesliga too.

I'm sure he's gonna give the best he can. I don't see him as another hargreaves who played like an asshole with Bayern when he knew that he's moving to MAN UNTD ...

FCB unveil star signings Ribéry and Toni
Bayern have signed world-class winger Franck Ribéry on a four-year deal, unveiling the France superstar alongside €11m man Luca Toni on Thursday.
London giants Arsenal headed a posse of leading European clubs vying for the 24-year-old Marseille forward’s signature, but Ribéry revealed he had opted for the Bundesliga after extensive consultation with his national team-mate and Bayern stalwart Willy Sagnol.
Luca promises goals
Prolific goal-getter Toni, whose switch from Fiorentina to Munich was confirmed earlier this week, promised “to repay Bayern in goals” as he pursues domestic and European honours with his new club next season.
General manager Uli Hoeneß declined to disclose the fee paid to Marseille for Ribéry, but confirmed that the club was investing “a great deal of money” in new players in a “total overhaul” of the first team squad.
The new policy represents a departure from Bayern’s cautious financial approach in recent years, but Hoeneß pointed out that a disappointing sporting season had still produced an outstanding financial result off the field, and the club will also receive a fee rumoured to be in the region of €25m for the sale of Owen Hargreaves to Manchester United.
More signings in the offing
Hoeneß revealed that the Reds’ spending spree is not yet over: Brazil star Zé Roberto is poised to return to the club, “although we still have to iron out a few details,” the official explained, and Bayern have tabled an official offer for Bremen and Germany hitman Miroslav Klose, who still has a year on his contract with Werder. The player himself yesterday announced his intention to complete a switch to Bayern by summer 2008 at the latest, “but obviously, we’d be delighted if he joined us this summer,” Hoeneß confirmed.
Ribéry and Toni join confirmed new arrivals Marcell Jansen (Monchengladbach), Jan Schlaudraff (Aachen), Hamit Altintop (Schalke) and Jose Ernesto Sosa (Estudientes) in the new-look Bayern squad for next season.
Apart from Hargreaves, the other players definitely on their way from Munich are Claudio Pizarro (Chelsea, free), Hasan Salihamidzic (Juventus, free) and Ali Karimi (destination unknown).

Not at all. We sold hargreaves for 25+ to M.Utd. So practically, it's Hargreaves for Ribery. Awesome.

my god!! those faces are so ugly!!
ribery is the best signing, no matter how much he's worth.. he is the player to lift bayern one level up to the top! with all the respect to toni and the others, ribery is the first player you buy that was realy chased by the best clubs in the world, and you are so lucky to have him!!
I think you forgot that after last WC, lyon and chelsea were fighting for him.. and now it's real and chelsea.. no matter who he is, if he's chased by bayern and real, he must be a quality player!!
trust me, ribery is the right man at the right time!
