That's really good for Bayern that he is so happy. Ribery is honest and seems like the type to not care about what other clubs are doing. Barca can wish all they want. Of course Diego going to Barca is another rumour, and I can see that one happening -- especially after this season, Diego seems to want to move on. But either way, Bayern have the best midfielder in the world in Ribery, and he is very young, I can easily see where he overtakes Zidane as the best player.

France international Franck Ribéry says he's loving life in Germany with Bayern Munich and has no intention of seeking a move elsewhere.

The speedy winger moved to the Allianz Arena from Marseille for €25m in the summer.

So impressive have his performances been in Germany's top flight that some of Europe's other top clubs are reportedly lurking, with sums as high as €40m being suggested.

But Ribéry, who was again outstanding on Saturday as the Münchner beat Bayer Leverkusen 2-1, says talks of a move are a waste of time.

"I honestly haven't given moving any thought at all," the Frenchman told Die Welt am Sonntag. "I'm concentrating on my career with Bayern. Everyone here is satisfied with me and that's the most important thing."

Ribéry admits to not being too knowledgable about the Bavarian giants before making the move from Olympique de Marseille, but says he's been truly impressed since joining up nine months ago.

"This really is a super club," he commented. "I had to see it for myself to really experience it. Everything that (fellow Frenchman) Willy Sagnol had told me about it has even been exceeded."

And Ribéry says he's enjoying being both a fan favourite at the Allianz Arena as well as the player most fans of other teams respect and admire. "It does me a lot of good to feel their enthusiasm," he said. "It gives me an incredible amount of self confidence."

Bayern are seven points clear at the top of the Bundesliga now and find themselves in the final of the DFB-Pokal and in the quarters of the UEFA Cup. Talk of the treble is very much alive, but Ribéry is hoping the Rekordmeister can go even further next season by winning the Champions League.

For that, he's hoping Bayern can strengthen even further in the off season. "I'm hoping that another big signing comes in the summer," said the Frenchman. "I know that (sporting director) Uli Hoeneß is making efforts towards signing one player or another. He played his hand well this season, didn't he?" added Ribéry jokingly.

Ferrari Franck played full time in France's match against England yesterday. He played in right wing (because Malouda played left), but he continously switched from right to left, and vice-versa. You know, he's everywhere.

France won 1-0, with the goal of Ribéry, of course. He scored from penalty, calmly taken one. He hit the ball to the right, while goalie went to the left.

Bayern star Ribery flattered by Zidane comparisons

Bayern Munich's French midfielder Franck Ribery admitted on Sunday he is flattered by comparisons to Zinedine Zidane, but wants to match his compatriot's achievements to be worthy of such praise.

"It is an enormous honour to be compared to Zinedine Zidane," said Ribery in Sunday's edition of Die Welt.

"He is a huge player, perhaps the biggest in history.

"I want to try to achieve the same things he did."

Since his arrival in Munich last July, Ribery, 24, has earned superstar status at Bayern with a string of high level performances and has won over many fans.

Bayern captain Oliver Kahn was the first to compare him to Zidane earlier this month, but so far former Galatasary-star Ribery has only a German League Cup and a Turkish Cup winners medal to show for his efforts.

But Bayern star Ribery insists he just wants to "concentrate on doing well at Bayern" where he is contracted until 2011 with a host of top European clubs wanting to sign him.

"I want to fulfill my mission and do well, everyone is happy with the way I am playing. What happens in the future, we will have to wait and see," added the Frenchman.

There was better news of Franck Ribéry. The Frenchman, out of action since the Getafe clash with a heavily bruised foot, could be fit for a return in Frankfurt. "He might have been able to make an appearance as a sub today, but I didn't want to take the risk,“ Hitzfeld commented after the final whistle against Dortmund, "but in all probability, he'll be playing again by Wednesday.“ Ribéry and the other players on the injury roster will continue to receive the best possible care from the medical unit up to that point.

Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribéry has revealed that he is loving playing behind the unstoppable Luca Toni at the Bavarian club.

Toni hit two goals at the weekend in Bayern’s 5-0 thrashing of Borussia Dortmund to add to the two he scored last week in Munich’s thrilling Uefa Cup match against Getafe. He is also the Bundesliga’s leading scorer with 18 goals so far in his debut season.

Ribéry, who is having an equally impressive first season with Bayern, has praised the Italian striker in an interview with France Football.

“Luca is a natural born striker” Ribéry explained. “He converts every single chance into a goal.

“He is a real fox in the box. He is a simple and funny man in everyday life. We have a lot of fun with him. He is a good guy.”

Ribéry, Toni and the rest of the Bayern star ensemble are turning all their attention to Saturday’s German Cup final, which sees them come up against Borussia Dortmund for the second time in a week.

“They will certainly show a different face than in the championship” Toni said.

“It is up to us to take this team seriously” he added.
