Calcio: Bayern, Luca Toni fermo 10 giorni
Indice Ultim'ora
Damn, he will miss the last games of the pre season, hopefully he returns in time to face Werder in the League Cup

Even if Luca Toni plays against us in the quater-finals of the Liga Pokal, Bayern have no chance. We will beat you on the first official match of the season

If there is something about football it's that you can never give anything for granted. You never know what will the outcome be. You might end up humilliated and ashamed if you brag about winning tha match and in the end you up losing...

Luca Toni ruled out of League Cup
New signing Luca Toni will be unable to train for the next ten days, but a knee injury suffered by the World Cup winner has at least turned out to be less serious than initially feared. The towering Italian has sustained a strained ligament in the area just below his right knee, and will be sidelined for Bayern's League Cup opener against Werder Bremen in Düsseldorf on Saturday.
Bayern chief medical officer Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt made the diagnosis on Monday after an MRI scan and ultrasound examination in Munich. Toni picked up the injury on Sunday after colliding with Savas Jesilelma in the Bavarians' friendly match away to FC Albstadt, and was replaced by Zé Roberto for the remaining sixty minutes.
Fit for start of season
Toni has been spared a longer lay-off as the knee itself remains undamaged. The striker will be supervised through an individual rehab programme over the next ten days, before Müller-Wohlfahrt decides whether he is once again fit enough for the full squad training schedule. The player is not rated doubtful for the first competitive match of the new campaign when Bayern travel to face Wacker Burghausen in a DFB German Cup first round tie on 6 August.
Toni's injury means the development of the club's new first choice strike pairing, featuring the Italian alongside Germany international Miroslav Klose, will have to be put on hold for the pre-season period at least. Bayern now approach the League Cup with a minor problem to solve in attack, as former Bremen star Klose is currently the only fit striker at the club.
Germany internationals Lukas Podolski (knee) and Jan Schlaudraff (slipped disc) are both still recovering from surgery, while Roque Santa Cruz, the fifth forward in the Bayern squad, is on holiday after appearing for Paraguay at the Copa America.

You Bayern fans are the ones saying you will thrash us, so you are taking the match for granted. I am confident about my team's qualities and I am sure we will fight hard and beat you. 11 stars don't make a team, you'll see it this season.

You don't really mean it, do you ?
The team have been playing together for just a few weeks, but if you've seen the friendly matches, they seem to understand each other very well.
Klose-Toni has been a very prolific partnership, Ribery has settled in, Ze Roberto already had Bayern experience, Hamit is used to the Bundesliga style of play, same with Jansen.
I agree that Werder's strongest XI has more understanding than Bayern's, but our stars are settling quickly and soon we will have the strongest team in Europe.

We've got only Klose as a striker for the match against Bremen. Toni & Poldi will miss out and Schlaudraff, someone who could stand in as a striker in emergencies (such as these) is unavailable also.
I'm getting a bit concerned...

Personally, i haven't said anything. So don't make a general accusement. Name out the ones who have done so and take your argument with them.
We're still adjusting and making the team work. So i don't really know how it will all end up.

Schlaudraff is yet to play a match in the pre season due to injury. So if he isn't fit either, Bayern will most likely play 4-2-3-1, Schweini, Hamit and Ribery roaming around behind Klose. There's also the possibility of playing youngster Sandro Wagner, he has played in a few games with the first team, but i'm not sure if Hitz would risk him.
