I've read today in two websites that Aouate, an Israelian GK, is courted by Bayern Munich!!
Can it be that Bayern is looking for someone to change Oli Kahn ?? And can it be that they are courting after a player in this level ???

That makes no sense whatsoever.. Bayern don't need a new goalkeeper atm and Aouate isn't good enough to be Kahn's sub.. Rensing is better..

Free kicks are his specialities.
He scored from freekick against Sao Paulo, thanks to a deflection aswell, but I'm telling you that has to be one of his poorest freekicks.
He does way much better. He has a damn powerful shot.
We didn't have a freekick taker for some time.

Flexible and confident | Altintop 'thrives when the going gets tough'
Bayern have spent some €70 million on a major team rebuilding exercise this summer, including a new Bundesliga record fee to Olympique Marseille for France star Franck Ribery. In complete contrast, Hamit Altintop has arrived at the Säbener Straße on a free transfer.
However, it would be wide of the mark to attempt any estimation of the Turkey international’s value based on that fact. Manager Uli Hoeneß even believes Altintop could be the “surprise” among the host of new arrivals. “It’s nice to hear something like that from an experienced manager like Uli Hoeneß. I don’t feel pressured by that, I’m more motivated,” Altintop told his first news conference in Munich on Wednesday.
Impressive in first outing
The host of reporters unanimously agreed that the former Schalke star made as good an impression on his media debut as he had done in Sunday’s match against Sao Paulo. Hamit was the dominant influence on the game in Hong Kong, crowning an energetic display with the winning goal. “Altintop is known for his fighting spirit and strong nerves. His workrate was excellent,” Ottmar Hitzfeld declared approvingly.
The player gratefully accepted the words of praise from his new boos, but insisted the priority lay elsewhere. “It was nice to score, but it wasn’t the most important thing. What mattered was using the trip to get to know each other a little better,” he reasoned, true to his reputation as a typical team player, always buzzing with energy and resolve, and never afraid to be billed as a hewer of wood and drawer of water. In short, a perfect individual to succeed long-serving utility man Hasan Salihamidzic.
Hamit in the Brazzo mould
Just like the Juventus-bound Bosnian, Altintop describes himself as “versatile,” with no special claim to a specific role within the team. “I regard my position as where the coach tells me to play.” However, Hamit needs to feel the coach has faith in him. “I always repay anyone who trusts my abilities. It became difficult for me at Schalke, because the coach didn’t believe in me, or I didn’t fit his system.”
Opting for the switch to Munich had not been a difficult decision, even though some commentators have expressed the view that Altintop will struggle for a regular berth in Hitzfeld’s star-studded side. “But I thrive when the going gets tough. Fair treatment is important to me though, and I didn’t always have that feeling at Schalke.” He is not frightened by the fierce competition at his new club. “I don’t regard any player as above or below me. I have certain attributes,” he calmly declared.
Title target
Hamit is bursting with confidence ahead of the new season: “Of course I’m in with a chance here, otherwise they wouldn’t have brought me in.” He believes his former club face “a difficult season. Bayern won’t just finish ahead of Schalke in the Bundesliga, we’ll finish ahead of all 17 of our rivals.” Hamit Altintop could well end up making a significant contribution to that effort.

I know. In a friendly between Turkey & Brazil... He wipped out a cannon shot that beat Doni (whatever his name is, the Roma Goalkeeper) but unfortunatly hit the bar... But it was an incredible shot!

- Hamit -> 9 _ Amazing! Great performance today, I was very impressed. He didn't lose a single tackle, made some great runs, dribbled a lot, shot a lot, scored an awsome goal, Man of the match for me.

I'm very happy with his debut, he was great. Looking forward to seeing more of him this season!

His long range shots are fantastic, I would say better than Schweini. Also he has a lot of speed on the and off the ball, good dribbling, nice crossing, works a lot, wins almost every tackle.
All in all, Great signing.

I knew he'd have sucess.
I'd feel really, really sorry for him if he won't start usually.
But, Hitzfeld will and is doing rotations, so there won't be a problem I hope.

I think he'll have a bit of a preference from Hitz. I mean. To all respect to The General, it won't be very smart leaving out a player in such good shape & performance.

When Klose and Toni are back, I think Hamit should start with Schweini coming off the bench.. Hamit is in great form atm
