VfB Stuttgart have confirmed their interest in Alemannia Aachen midfielder Jan Schlaudraff. The 23-year-old will be allowed to leave the club for €1.2 million at the end of the season.

"Schlaudraff is an interesting player," club coach Armin Veh told the Stuttgarter Nachrichten.

Bayer Leverkusen, Werder Bremen and Hamburg are all reportedly considering a move for him.

Schlaudraff has made nine Bundesliga appearances so far this season, but has been left out of the side to play Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night.

Werder Bremen sporting director Klaus Allofs has revealed his club's interest in Alemannia Aachen striker Jan Schlaudraff.

The 23-year-old has blossomed in Aachen's first season of Bundesliga football in 36 years, scoring five goals and earning a call-up to Joachim Loew's national squad, as well as his first cap in the friendly against Georgia in October.

"[Schlaudraff] is a very good, young player," Allofs told Kicker. "That fits in well into our strategy."

Indeed Allofs had a perfect opportunity to observe Schlaudraff's talents, as scored Aachen's second goal in a 2-2 draw against Werder Bremen at Tivoli on Saturday, ghosting past three defenders before lofting a perfectly weighted chip over goalkeeper Tim Wiese.

He admitted his admiration for Werder afterwards, stating "Werder is a highly attractive destination. When you look at the kind of football they play, how the club is led, and the success that they have, then it certainly makes things very interesting."

Schlaufraff reportedly has a clause in his contract allowing him to leave the West German club for a fixed sum of 1.2 million euros.

Werder Bremen have admitted that they are interested in signing Germany international striker Jan Schlaudraff.

The Alemannia Aachen forward has been a revelation for the Bundesliga new boys this season so far, earning a call-up from Joachim Low to the national squad.

His form has also attracted the attention of Bayer Leverkusen, who would now appear to be facing competition from Bremen.

Werder general manager Klaus Allofs described the 23-year-old former Monchengladbach player as "an extremely good, young player, who would fit into our club" in an interview with Kicker.

Schlaudraff reportedly has an opt-out option in his current contract which would allow him to leave Aachen for a €1.2 million (£800,000) fee and the player admits that he would be interested in joining Werder.

"Werder is an attractive club," he said after scoring a great goal to give his side a draw against Bremen on Saturday.

Jan Schlaudraff’s agent says the Alemannia Aachen star is in no hurry to leave the club.

The German international is believed to be high on the shopping list of several top Bundesliga clubs, but his agent Manfred Schulte says he is still looking to remain at the Tivoli Stadium until the end of the season.

“Jan isn’t looking for a club to join in the winter transfer window,” Schulte said.

“No club has contacted me with a view to signing him in the winter. All the talks that are going on are all about possible moves at the end of the season.”

Bayern Munich have reportedly joined the lengthening list of clubs keen to sign Alemannia Aachen striker Jan Schlaudraff.

Despite his club's recent downturn in form and steady fall towards the relegation places, the 23-year-old has continued to impress, and is now reportedly being coveted by the Bundesliga champions.

According to Kicker magazine, Bayern general manager Uli Hoeness has informed his Alemannia counterpart of his club's interest in the player, with a view to commencing talks in the near future.

Hoeness has refused to deny his desire to bring Schlaudraff to the Alilianz Arena, though merely stated last Sunday: "I can't comment on this at the moment."

Schlaudraff has been strongly linked with a move to Werder Bremen, with sporting director Klaus Allofs a keen admirer of the striker, though Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and VfB Stuttgart are also said to be chasing his signature.

Schluadraff would not be drawn when questioned on his future last Saturday, though has previously stated his caution at joining Bayern, with Claudio Pizarro, Roy Makaay, Lukas Podolski and Roque Santa Cruz already on their books, reasoning:

"Felix Magath would certainly not cry out: Hooray! Schlaudraff is finally on his way!"

In any case, the Germany international's advisor Manfred Schulte has revealed his client is "not looking for a club this winter. Nobody has contacted me with a view to signing him in winter. All talks are based on a possible transfer next summer."

Schlaudraff would be available for a transfer fee of exactly 1 million euros next summer, rather than the 1.2 million originally reported.

Alemannia Aachen have poured cold water on the rumours that star striker Jan Schlaudraff will leave the club in January. The 23-year-old has been linked with Bayern Munich, Werder Bremen, Bayer Leverkusen and Hertha Berlin but the club have announced he will stay until the summer.

"A transfer during the winter break will not happen under any circumstances," the club said in a press release.

The player has a minimum-fee release clause of 1.2 million euros for June, and even though the club could have commanded more in January they have decided that such ploy would be counter-productive as the team look to ensure Bundesliga survival.

A meeting between sporting director Jorg Schmadtke, chairman Hemut Breuer and members of the board led to the decision.

Schlaudraff himself has said that he was "never in any doubt" that he would stay at Aachen until the summer.

Aachen lie 14th in the Bundesliga with 15 points from 15 games.

Bayern Munich general manager Uli Hoeness has confirmed that the Bundesliga champions have offered Alemannia Aachen striker Jan Schlaudraff a contract.

The 23-year-old, who can leave the Tivoli Stadium for €1.2million (£810,000) at the end of the season, has been a revelation for the Bundesliga new boys so far this term and is high on the shopping list of several top teams.

"He has received an offer from Bayern Munich. Now it's up to him to decide what he wants to do," Hoeness said on German television at the weekend, before denying that Schlaudraff might struggle to hold down a regular place in the club's star-studded starting line up.

"We are convinced that he would also have a good chance of playing with us," he added.

Current Bundesliga leaders Werder Bremen are also keen on gaining the German international's services next season, and sport director Klaus Allofs wasted no time in countering Hoeness's remarks.

"Bayern are, of course, always able to make the best offer as far as money is concerned, but we all know that money isn't everything," said Allofs.

Schlaudraff is expected to make a decision on his future within the coming weeks.
