We will sign someone else though, regardless if Rensing starts or not. 99% sure we'll bring a new gk

Unless van Buyten wants to leave i do not see any need in the defense. We can match any team in the world there if lucio makes a disciplined game

Lell and Gorlitz for FB as well, we're well covered there.
CB's I'm not sure. All our 3 starting CB's can be really dodgy at times and we still don't know if Breno is any good.
However, I don't think we'll sign another CB and it's not absolutely needed.

i don't think he'll change the formation, but it's good to have as many options as we do now. Kroos and Piggy can play CM if needed, same for Hamit; Sosa and Ribery are the only true wingers we have. I'd keep them all, or perhaps just loan out Sosa, but to another Bundesliga club.

Ze is a class midfielder, but he is no leader and never will be. MVB might have leader qualities but i think he has poor tackling skills and is no use in opening the game offensivly
|
Also, I know Ze looks like a 20 year old by the way he plays, but fact is he's 33. I don't think he'll play more than one season after this one, so we also need to start looking for a long term replacement, but again that is not absolutely needed atm.
As for Van Bommel, I don't rate him as good enough to be the starting DM for FC Bayern. He is a good player, useful in matches where we need to destroy the opponents in midfield, but his tackling is shit for a DM and he lacks self-control, I can only imagine if he's on a yellow card, on the last 30 mins of a CL final, when we're losing against a club like Man Utd or Barça, he'd get sent off in a matter of seconds.
Ottl is just a good reserve, nowhere near Bayern class.

I would want a player similar to Pirlo here. Or de Rossi. OR yeah Mascherano. That guy has a running out contract at pool. I think it would be a great mistake if we didn't at least ask if he would fance coming to Säbener Strasse

I don't think we'll be able to sign any Italians, only if Lippi had become Bayern manager. We've all agreed that Masch is class, but we also all agreed that it isn't a very realistic target, seeing as all of Europe's biggest clubs will go for him and the bundesliga is currently not attractive enough.
By the way, you've forgot someone, Tim Borowski!
Now, I know he is no saviour, but still a good option. In terms of numbers, we aren't short on midfielders, in terms of class, we lack a DM.
Personall I don't really believe Hoeness, we are in a good enough financial position to push for at least 1 star player. For me, those statements from Hoeness may just be a way of driving media attention away from Bayern, so that we have time and space (if you know what I mean), to look for the player we need.
But, if Klinsmann isnt playing any star signings, then I guess we'll have to live with what we've got..
On a side note, Lucho Gonzalez would be my first choice if we are to sign a CM. He may not look like a DM, but that's just the position he plays for Porto, where he's the most offensive CM of our 3 mids in the 4-3-3. Lucho is a very good tackler, he played at DM in our 4-3-3 for several occasions last season, when we had Anderson. Just one thing is that Lucho doesn't cover a big enough area perhaps, but we have Ze to do the running.
