Bayern Tracking Netinho
Media reports from Brazil claim that Bayern Munich are tracking Atlético Paranaense midfielder Netinho.
Artur Pereira Neto, known as Netinho, has reportedly been recommended to the Bavarian giants by scout and former star striker Giovane Elber, who now works for the club.
The 23 year old attacking midfielder has impressed on his return to Atlético Paranaense after a spell on loan at Nautico. He began his career at Gremio.
Should Bayern make a move for the youngster he would join fellow countryman Breno as a winter signing for the Bavarians.

Wow. Good to see Elber focused on the job
But this is interesting. Do we really need an attacking midfielder? I really feel that it's our most complete area in the team (actually, i already feel we're complete in every area of the team - we just have to come up with a 2nd keeper for next season).
I'd be more interesting if he were younger, so we could buy him & then loan him (kinda like Hummels).

I could almost agree. First highly doubt this will be transfer just because giovanni watched two games or so...
And I also see the team as set as it is. Where i can see us buy someone is in the defensive midfield. That's again highly dependand on the new coach, but ze is approachin 34 and mvb 31 or 32 i think...
And Ottl has a contract that's running out in summer and he sure won't extend it seeing that he got only 2-3 games this season so far

According to Il Messagero, in defence Roma have short-listed Toulouse’s Jeremy Mathieu, Stuttgart’s Ludovic Magnin, Udinese duo Andrea Dossena and Felipe, and Bayern Munich star Lucio.

roma has been after lucio for like 5 years now. It was just always the ridiculos transfer fees they always wanted to pay. just look at the other players listed
lucio is at least 1 class over them by far. roma might want him, but they can't afford him...

Hoeness: Pressure is on for some players
Bayern Munich general manager Uli Hoeness on Thursday ruled out a summer spending spree for new coach Jürgen Klinsmann, and indicated the pressure was on for some players.
Speaking at the team’s training camp in Marbella, southern Spain, Hoeness said Bayern would not be swinging “the transfer cudgel” this summer as they did last year when some 70 million euros (100 million dollars) were spent on new players.
Hoeness said some internationals like Bastian Schweinsteiger and Jan Schlaudraff would have to use the rest of the season to convince Klinsmann they had a future at the club.
“Now they are all in the shop window,” he said.
Klinsmann, who will be taking over from Ottmar Hitzfeld from next season, will be watching the players’ performances closely on television from his home in California.
“I think the live broadcasts of the matches to California will be glowing,” Hoeness said.
Midfielder Schweinsteiger has struggled this season, while striker Schlaudraff, a close-season signing from Alemannia Aachen, has rarely featured.
Werder Bremen sports director Klaus Allofs, asked whether Bremen might be interested in either of the players, told Kicker sports magazine Thursday he could not rule it out.
Bremen will be seeking a replacement for midfielder Tim Borowski who is moving to Bayern at the end of the season. But Allofs said this did not mean Bremen wanted a Bayern player in exchange.
Meanwhile speculation that former Germany and Scotland coach Berti Vogts - now in charge of Nigeria - could be a possible co-trainer for Klinsmann was rejected by Hoeness.
The Bayern manager also ruled out the possibility of Bayern signing Jens Lehmann, currently reserve keeper at Arsenal.
“I don’t seen any reason for it,” he said.

Lehmann Not Ruling Out Bayern Move
Jens Lehmann has provided more ammunition for the gossip pages by hinting that he could be tempted by the chance to link up with Jürgen Klinsmann again and join Bayern Munich in the summer.
The German international keeper, who has been demoted to second choice at Arsenal, recently turned down a move to Borussia Dortmund as he was not prepared to return to Germany on a short-term deal.
However, it remains unclear whether his long-tern future lies in London playing second fiddle to Manuel Almunia.
While Lehmann has decided to remain with The Gunners until the end of the season, it is being rumoured that his former international manager Klinsmann could attempt to bring him to Bayern in time for the start of the next Bundesliga season.
Klinsmann put his reputation on the line when choosing the Arsenal man as his first choice for the 2006 World Cup over veteran keeper Oliver Kahn and Lehmann has refused to rule out linking up with his former mentor again.
“I have been a professional too long to exclude anything” Lehmann told Bild am Sonntag.
“Bayern have shown with the appointment of Jürgen Klinsmann that they are open to new ideas and on a good course.”
Bayern will be looking for a second keeper to act as understudy to Mchael Rensing, who is set to take over from Kahn as the number one at the Allianz Arena at the end of the season.

German media reports Lehmann has already bought property in Munich, and he'll move with his family in the city.
This is what lead to the speculations.
He could come, but only to be the no.2 goalkeeper.
But still, don't forget, FCB board always criticised Lehmann and FCB fans whistled him also in the stadium.
Slim chances are that he'll get involved with FCB.

Lehmann rejected to start at Dortmund but will accept being a sub at Bayern ? I highly doubt that.
But anyway, the Bayern fans would never tolerate this, Lehmann himself has had a lot of shit with Bayern over the years, this signing would make absolutely no sense.
As for the Bayern board, I remember Beckenbauer slating Klinsmann in public countless times, but he is now Bayern's coach.

Good point, indeed.
But still, Hoeness said Rensing will be no.1 and that is definately not changing.
If Lehmann wants to come, let him come and watch matches from the bench.
Can he tolerate the whistles?

True, Rensing will be our starter next season. Even FCB.de wrote an article on that, so I agree that it won't change.
But signing Lehmann, even as a sub, is insulting to Bayern fans and to Kahn indirectly, don't you think ?
Everyone knows how bad Bayern fans think of him. I remember Lehmann being taunted each time he touched the ball, for both Dortmund and Arsenal, so I can see a huge wave of protest if this signing indeed happens.
And no, I don't think he would tolerate it. It would make him even more prone to mistakes.

Totally agreed. Though, in a peaceful world between FCB and him, he'd be a great no.2

Yeah I agree with that. He would be a good bench warmer and an ok competition for Rensing.
I don't think Klinsmann, Bayern board or Lehmann would talk about this in the near future, though I expect further details on this before the Euro begins.
If he plays badly in the Euro, I think his chances of coming to Bayern will increase. And now you'll ask why. Because:
1. His reputation would go down even more, which would mean his chances of playing for Arsenal will decrease;
2. The fact that he will be a 3rd choice for Arsenal might make it easier for him to
accept #2 at Bayern;
3. He would consider a move back to Germany, since he would be so bad in the Euro, his chances of being called up again would be very slim and he said he wants to play in the WC 2010;
4. Bayern board won't want a sub who earns more per month than the starter, so the fact that Lehmann would be shit in the Euro would make his wage demands drop considerably.
