I think the 6 confirmed players that we have are enough to reinforce the squad. I mean. We still have other players! We can't get that many cause then we won't know how to rotate them correctly. I really think we should sell Julio Dos Santos, as we sell Santa Cruz. I know it's mean cause we're not giving the guy a chance, but with these good reinforcements, i don't see how he can make it. He'll be like Karimi, bench warmer and only play when it's a friendly against the kids of the block.

no mate you are incredibly wrong !!!
1. Klose is better than Mekaay in everything
2. Klose wants to play for us that motivation could only help, Makaay finished his work and he isn't motivated any more ...
3. Toni is Top class striker but you can't be sure that he will fit in the Bondesliga Perfectly so Klose is our insurance policy, he is used to the bondesliga !!!!

We need a world class CB to partner Lucio for sure.
I htink Ze Roberto is the AM we were missing and Sosa can also play AM. So I think the midfield is set

So i don't really see the point in signing him anymore... I prefer to keep Makaay. He's a good player and a munich veteran. He knows how the game goes. He had an okay season, at least much better than Klose's. So i'm hoping we don't get Klose...

I would agree to that, if Klose wasn't 4 years younger than Makaay. Miro can give us much more than Makaay.

No, Vargas is right. Are you aware of how many defenders we currently have ?
This is not Fifa or Football Manager mate, we can't have as much defenders as we want, because most of them will be unsatisfied with their lack of playing time.
Lell, Gorlitz, Lahm, Sagnol, Jansen; that makes 5 full-backs.
Lucio, Ismael, van Buyten, Demichelis, Hummels; that makes 5 centre-backs.
We should have 8 defenders at most, we need to cut our squad a bit.

Before we think about a new CB, we must sell 2 of these 4:
Hummels, van Buyten, Ismael, Demichelis.
My choices are van Buyten and Ismael.
After that, we can start thinking of a new CB. I don't know who is on the market atm, but we'll probably have to look in Germany

Transfer spree over | Reds plot new glories with global stars
Crowds of loyal Bayern fans gathered outside the Arabella Sheraton Hotel in Munich on Thursday afternoon, chanting "Luca, Luca" and "Riberiiiee!" as board directors Uli Hoeneß and Karl Hopfner presented new star signings Luca Toni and Franck Ribéry to the German sporting press. "We're proud of our success in bringing two global stars to Munich," a beaming Hoeneß told the packed news conference.
Biggest spree in club history
Following weeks of rumour and speculation, the Italian World Cup winner and the French World Cup runner-up, the two most spectacular signings in the biggest spending spree ever undertaken by the club, officially pledged their allegiance to Bayern, sending the Bavarians' millions of fans into raptures.
Toni and Ribéry join Jan Schlaudraff, Hamit Altintop, Ernesto Sosa and Marcell Jansen as confirmed new arrivals this summer. Zé Roberto is set to agree a return to Bavaria, while Miroslav Klose has confirmed his intention to join FCB by summer 2008 at the latest. The total of eight signings and five departures means a thoroughgoing renewal of the senior squad.
Raring to go
"We've had a difficult season, so we said we'd strengthen the team with big names. That's meant breaking a few rules we've set ourselves over the last 20 years," Hoeneß explained. However, in recent successful years of plenty, the club has put aside reserve funds to be deployed in just such a situation.
Fourth place last term prompted the board to loosen the purse strings. "We always said we'd open our wallets if things didn't go well," Hoeneß explained. However, the club had not spent to the limit, finance chief Hopfner insisted. "We still have a reserve," he reported, with the record transfer fee paid by Manchester United for Owen Hargreaves also boosting the plus column.
Hoeneß delighted
Nevertheless, the club had remained true to its maxim of refusing to incur debt in the pursuit of success. "This is a one-off investment in the future and won't always be the case," Hoeneß declared, although he admitted to a certain thrill of the chase "as we succeeded with one transfer after the next. The talks we held proved to us that Bayern continues to be seen as an excellent club."
However, Hoeneß is well aware that spending millions is no guarantee of success: "We're under enormous pressure, and the others will be hunting us down from the start." Furthermore, head coach Ottmar Hitzfeld will need time to bed in the new players and create a team spirit in the dressing room. "But we've fulfilled the pre-conditions. I'm certainly looking forward to the Bundesliga restart on 11 August." Hoeneß will be far from alone in his thinking.

did metselder already sign for real madrid? if not, he's excellent!
try to get marquez! he had an awful season with barca, and he's one of the best CB/DM in the world .. I don't think he'll cost you much..
personally, I would prefer you take oleguer, but knowing this guy, even if he has to pay to stay in barca, he will!
and if you must sell 2 from the 4 above.. it should be ismael and hummels.
but you guyz shouldn't worry too much if you don't get another CB, lucio will take care about the deffence alone!

Agreed on Ismael, but Hummels has talent and he came from our youth system; according to the new Fifa rules, each club must have at least 8 players formed in their youth squad by 2010.
Metzelder has joined Real, but he wouldn't be better than the CBs we already have. I prefer Ismael to Metz and Metz is very injury prone.
Marquez isn't the type of player that could compliment Lucio, he is a great defender but he would end up being another van Buyten.
Lucio is awsome, but he needs a good partner in defence
