I meant, someone that stays at the back and covers for Lucio.
Both Lucio and van Buyten like to go forward and like to lead the defence, having someone behind them. That's why that partnership didn't work.
If Ujfalusi can cover for Lucio, then he'll do well.

Oh I see what you mean.
Yeah, I can't see that being a problem. Ujfalusi is experienced enough to work with a player like Lucio.
Is there no chance of the club signing him as a RB?

I don't think so tbh, Bayern have Sagnol for RB, Jansen for LB and Lahm for both RB and LB. Plus there's Gorlitz and Lell that can also play on position.
For CB, Bayern have Lucio who is untouchable, Ismael who is 33 and came back from a 9 month lay-off, van Buyten who might be leaving and Demichelis who is used more as DM.
Btw, Demichelis was rumoured to be heading to Fiorentina on the Toni deal, any reports in Italy about that ?

Bayern keen on Ujfalusi
Quote:
Tomas Ujfalusi may return to the Bundesliga after three years at Fiorentina, according to Kicker.
Bayern Munich have reportedly shown an interest in the Czech Republic international, who had a three-and-a-half year spell at Hamburg.
Ujfalusi could become the second Fiorentina star to move to the Allianz Arena after Luca Toni's arrival from the Viola.
Toni's switch to Bayern was confirmed by the Bavarian club's president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge on Wednesday.
Kicker reports Fiorentina will only consider letting Ujfalusi follow Toni to Germany for a fee in the region of €10million (£6.8million).
The 29-year-old defender has previously been linked with a move to Sevilla, Chelsea and Milan.

Bayern to tie up Toni transfer
Yes, you are right Kahn, Toni sign for Bayern ha ha
Chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge announced today that FC Bayern München expect to unveil ACF Fiorentina and Italy striker Luca Toni on 8 June, the €11m transfer being the first of a series of big-money moves planned for the summer.
Hero status
Having finished fourth in the Bundesliga to miss out on UEFA Champions League football for the first time in eleven seasons, Bayern are determined to ensure a swift return to European football's top table and regain their German crown. Rummenigge confirmed a deal has been reached with Fiorentina, where Toni enjoys hero status after scoring 47 Serie A goals in two campaigns following a switch from US Città di Palermo. The 30-year-old forward said: "I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in Florence and am very grateful to the fans for the great time I had here."
Surgery
Viola president Andrea Della Valle added: "We wish Luca all the best and a successful future. We'll miss him and I'm sure he'll miss Florence. His going to Munich [instead of another Italian team] was his final service to the club and city of Florence." Toni is recovering from surgery on his injured left foot and will sit out Italy's UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifiers in the Faroe Islands and Lithuania on 2 and 6 June.

Ujfalusi is a great player. Always dangerous. He's strong on the ball as well.

After we signed Toni was 11m €, I was expecting a lower price for Ujfalusi. And tbh, I'm still not sure about him.

Ujfalusi is younger though.
Plus, quality defenders are extremely hard to come by.
