I guess I find it hard to believe because of the whole 5 year contract thing and the fact that I haven't seen it from any sites that I trust.

Let me give you an example.
Media was speculating of a Podolski transfer for months and Bayern website never gave any small detail, they never ever gave a sign of interest. The day Podolski signed the contract, he was on the main news in the website.
So that's the same about Toni.
You'll never see anything unless it's 100% finished.
We don't know if Toni reports are true, but if most of the stories from the world say so, there should be something true in it. I hope so.

|
Hoeness says Bayern are not interested in van der Vaart.
Fuckin' piece of shit! I hope it's just a tactic.

Agreed. It's a long contract and he's not young, but I'm surprised Fiorentina is willing to let him go for "only" £12m.
Amazing signing for Bayern if this turns out to be true. I'll miss seeing him play in Italy, but the irony is that I'll end up being able to watch him more often, since they show Bayern more often here than they show Fiorentina. He's one of my favorite strikers, so if this happens, I can see myself watching a lot more Bundesliga.

News from Fiorentina's official site:
Quote:
|
Basically saying tha Fiorentina have reached an agreement and Toni doesn't want to reinforce a team that will be Fiorentina's rivals. (Like most of the articles we read).
(Thanks to Aladino for the source and translation)
Well, if an official site says so, better belive it's true.

Does it say he's agreed a move to Bayern and did you get it from a speculation section of the site?

How can it be a tactic mate ?
If Hoeness says he isn't interested in van der Vaart and then signs him 1 month after, he'll look like a fool.
I think we can wave van der Vaart's signing goodbye

Fiorentina boss denies Bayern Munich deal for Toni
tribalfooball.com - April 28, 2007
Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli insists striker Luca Toni isn't on his way to Bayern Munich.
He said: "We have been saying for many weeks now - both Luca and the club - that at the end of the season we will meet to discuss the matter. Until there are official announcements we will work to keep him. Toni wants to score goals and keep going, so there is no issue here."

Sources close to Bayern say Toni is having his medical today.
Klose remains another transfer target, Hitzfeld wants to bring Ze Roberto back and Sneijder is a topic.

Such transfers are rare in the Bundesliga. It's a quality signing.

Let's cut the bullshit, if any of you don't believe this, then wait until the summer when Toni will sign for us.
As for now, stick to the topic of Bayern getting Luca Toni for next season and not if this story is true or not.
Thanks.

Brign Ze Roberto back...Could be a good option, Ze Roberto knows the Bundesliga and has played for us in the past, so definately a good signing.
As for Sneidjer, I don't rate him very highly, but if he comes I wouldn't mind.

I was a bit pessismist in regard of the transfers for next season, but I see that the board is doing a major work in order to bring Bayern back next season.

It's not definitive, by any means - but then neither is your claim.

Of course it's not definitive, he can't sign a contract until the season is over.
