Bayern Munich chief: We like Chelsea's Robben
Bayern Munich admit they're interested in Chelsea winger Arjen Robben.
Robben has a strained relationship with boss Jose Mourinho and they clashed again when the player limped off during Saturday's defeat at Liverpool.
Bayern chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: "Robben is the calibre of player we would like."

I wish we get him.
Give Chelsea Hargreaves and a few millions, they should accept!

In common with a multitude of Bayern fans, Felix Magath slept badly on Friday night. "I only managed two hours," he revealed in an interview with the mass circulation Bild am Sonntag tabloid. The Munich coach spent much of the small hours contemplating his side's entirely avoidable 3-2 defeat away to Borussia Dortmund, sitting himself in front of the TV for another review of 90 ultimately demoralising minutes at the Westfalen stadium, before announcing a clear verdict: his men had not showed anything near enough passion in the first league fixture after the winter break.
"I'm concerned at the way we presented ourselves. We didn't show enough determination in such an important restart match," the boss told Sunday's scheduled news conference. "We were over-confident. We had a good mid-season programme and an excellent training camp behind us, so we thought we'd boss the play with pretty football. Yet again, we've learnt that attitude is the deciding factor."
Dire warning
Nevertheless, the coach insisted, the title race was far from over. "I don't think you can now conclude we'll just keep playing that way for the rest of the season," he declared, although the Sunday newspaper interview included a stern warning to his troops. "We can't afford any more slip-ups. Time is running out for Bayern Munich. If we fail to beat Bochum on Tuesday, the title is pretty much beyond us."
It was not a question of lack of quality, the coach told the news conference. "But we have to make our quality count - and that means we have to impose our quality on the game. That in turn means we have to be willing to graft and get stuck in." Magath urged his men to show that willingness when Bayern entertain VfL Bochum on Tuesday. "I'm expecting a totally different performance against Bochum."
Still confident
Sixteen fixtures remain for the champions to close the gap to the top of the table. "I'm still convinced we'll play very good football from now on," the coach remarked. The Bayern camp aims to ensure Friday night in Dortmund was very much an exception.

Gordon [Hearts]: "Bayern never met Hearts asking price"
Arsenal and Bayern Munich are being linked with moves for Hearts goalkeeper Craig Gordon this week.
Along with Manchester United, the Gunners have long been linked with Gordon and their manager Arsene Wenger has been quoted in the past at saying how highly he rates the Scotland no.1.
Gordon has been absent from the previous two Hearts squads and if the excuse of 'groin injury' used to explain last week's absence raised a few eyebrows, the continued use of it this week amid obvious transfer talk is frankly insulting. Just how stupid do they think we are? The Hearts support are continually being lied to and I'm sure the management would command a great deal more respect if they just came clean and said they wanted to get rid of Gordon for his role in the Steven Pressley press conference. At least we'd know that was true!
Fulham have already had a bid of £2.5million rejected by Hearts, but Arsenal and Bayern are rumoured to be preparing bids of closer to £6 million, which the club would surely have to seriously consider.

Well, this should be media bullshit speculations.
I don't think Bayern needs a keeper. Well, Kahn doesn't have much left, I know that, but he said he will be goalkeeping until 2008. We got Rensing aswell, a very good and promising keeper, the 1st keeper of Germany's U-21 NT.
I haven't seen this dude Gordon keeping, but I've been hearing a lot about him recently. Is he any good Kahn?

Bayern sack Magath
Quote:
Bayern Munich have sacked coach Felix Magath, according to German media reports.
The Bavarian giants slipped to fourth in the Bundesliga last night after a 0-0 draw at home to lowly VfL Bochum, just four days after a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Borussia Dortmund, and German daily Bild reported on its website that Magath has been shown the door by club bosses.
Magath's predecessor, Ottmar Hitzfeld, is favourite to take the reins at the Allianz Arena until the end of the season.
Magath led Bayern to successive league and cup doubles in the past two seasons after moving from Stuttgart, though they currently trail 6 points behind leaders Werder Bremen and Schalke, who both have a game in hand.

It was a poor performance home against Bochum.I'm not surprised Magath had to go.
