If Chelsea will win nothin this year, they will sell most of their squad, Essien included, cause Real are already making an inquiry for him, to replace Diarra, I strongly beleive that De Rossi will be tempted to move since he saw how good Toni settled here. Dont get me wrong, Gattuso is an experienced player for sure, but he's way too aggressive, I dare to say that he is even more aggressive than Mark Van Bommel and also he likes to argue with officials too much, in Italy arguing with refs isnt a crime, but in Germany its a different story. I would preffer Pirlo as a centre midfielder than Gattuso.

Bayern warn off predators
Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has warned any potential suitors off any summer bids for some of the club's stars.
Although heavily beaten in the Uefa Cup semi-final in Zenit St Petersburg, Bayern have celebrated title success in this season's Bundesliga.
Chelsea's Frank Arnesen was spotted at the DFB Cup final in Berlin, sparking speculation that the Champions League finalists want to sign Franck Ribery and the likes of Philip Lahm, Lukas Podolski and Bastian Schweinsteiger are also coveted by foreign clubs.
However, Rumenigge insists there is no need for Bayern to listen to any offers.
"Ribery is not for sale," stated the former Germany striker.
"Philipp [Lahm] has a contract until 2009 and I assume that he will play for us next year.
"We will work together with [incoming coach] Jurgen Klinsmann to try to convince Philipp that Bayern is a beautiful home.
"I am relatively relaxed [about Podolski]. It is understandable that he is not comfortable being on the bench. But we are already very happy with him in the background," he told Sport1.
"Through co-operation with Jurgen, he will get a further boost, I am sure.
"Bastian has a fundamental interest - to stay in Munich. He feels happy here."

Definitely lets not lose our star players! If we bring in Gattuso, then fine, I will accept that as being 30 he is one of the best DMs in the world. So we will only get better. But MvB, ZeRo, Borowski, Ottl and now Gattuso -- something in our formation has to change to accomodate all these players at some point. If we lose Sagnol and Lahm, then we are majorly hurting at Wingback positions, and not DM positions. Although MvB could play an AM role or even ZeRo.

Juve Set To Steal Sagnol
Juventus are set to steal Bayern Munich defender Willy Sagnol from the grasp of Milan, according to the Corriere dello Sport.
Quote:
French full-back Sagnol has had a miserable season with Bayern, where he has lost his first team place and fallen out with coach Ottmar Hitzfeld.
The 31-year-old’s future with the Bavarian giants is very uncertain, especially as he was recently suspended by the club for publicly blasting Hitzfeld in the press.
Earlier this week the Italian media revealed that Milan had opened talks with Bayern over a transfer, and indeed it was the Corriere who claimed that a fee of €5m had been agreed upon.
Sagnol later came out and confirmed Milan’s interest, but said he still had not decided about where his future lay.
The Corriere is today claiming that Juventus have hijacked the Rossoneri’s attempts to sign the former Monaco man and that the Old Lady’s general manager Jean-Claude Blanc met with Sagnol’s agents yesterday.
Sagnol, who has been at Bayern since 2000 and has won 54 caps for France, was close to signing for Juve in 2006 on a Bosman transfer, before he eventually renewed his contract.

This has turned into a very boring soap opera. And to be honest, I don't really give a fuck what happens with Sagnol.

We've been linked with ukrainian defensive midfielder Anatoly Tymoschuk.
He is the captain of Zenit St. Petersburg. 29 years old.
We've also been linked with Stefan Wessels, our former no.2. We sold him to Koln, and later Koln transfered him to Everton, where he currently is (as no.2, if I'm correct).

Wessels was a good goalkeeper, he'll make a good #2 for Rensing. And the best about it, he's free I think.

Wessels Set For Bayern Return
With Bayern Munich in the hunt for a back-up keeper to Michael Rensing for next season, it seems as though Stefan Wessels is being lined up for a return to the club.
Quote:
Wessels is currently at Everton but is intent on leaving the Premiership club at the end of the season.
“Oliver Kahn is retiring at the end of the season, and Michael Rensing will succeed him, so we need to bring in a goalkeeper” admitted chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in an interview with Sport 1.
“The decision about personnel has not been made yet, but will take place very soon.”
One option that seems highly likely is that former reserve keeper Stefan Wessels will return to the Allianz Arena after spending a season in England with Everton.
The 29 year old has failed to settle or make the grade at Goodison Park having not fully convinced Toffees manager David Moyes. He has had to settle for a bit-part role as Tim Howard’s deputy.
Now having decided to call it a day at Goodison Park, Wessels looks set to return to where he began his career. The keeper started out at Bayern back in 1999 as understudy to Oliver Kahn, but only managed four Bundesliga appearances for the Bavarians. He then moved to Cologne.
The advantage that Wessels has is that he wouldn’t need time to settle in as he knows the club inside out already. Wessels however isn’t the only candidate with Bayern also reportedly interested in Borussia Dortmund’s Marc Ziegler.
