Did anyone watch Inter vs Fiorentina last night ?
Frey was a beast in goal, saved all he could and played injured for more than 70 mins.

Ok people, some fresh new stories.
Goal.com - Bayern Munich - Flamini, Deco Linked With Bayern
^ I doubt we'll make a move for Deco and I very much doubt he would come to Bayern. Flamini, on the other hand, would be a great signing. If it means van Bommel on the bench, then I'm all for it.
(Oh and btw, goal.com is full of shit).
-------
Now some real news, this was a total shock to me:
Quote:
Rino to receive Milan axe?
Monday 14 April, 2008
Press reports in Italy suggest that Milan could begin their summer clearout by sensationally selling Gennaro Gattuso.
The world champions have just five games left to save their season and secure Champions League football by clawing back fourth-placed Fiorentina’s four-point lead.
With the Rossoneri’s squad ageing, they are expected to make sweeping changes at the end of the campaign wherever they finish in the table and Gattuso, who has disappointed this term, could make way for new blood.
There have been suggestions that Bayern Munich could step in to sign the 30-year-old, who would link up with Azzurri teammate Luca Toni.
It has been reported that Premier League sides Tottenham and Newcastle and Scottish giants Rangers are keeping an eye on the Gattuso situation.
A move across the Channel doesn’t seem out of the question given that Rino spent the 1997-98 season with Rangers and has a Scottish wife.

Now that's what you call a signing
But I don't think it will happen.

As we all agreed (even though I have no idea how good Flamini is), he'd be a good buy for FCB, adding strength to the defensive line.
Deco.. erm, I have mixed feelings over this. I don't know. Maybe if it was a few years ago, I'd welcome him with open arms. But, now, he's not in good form and is not the player he used to be. Do we really need him, anyway?
As for Gattusso news, that's a total shock really. He's a great defensive midfielder, world class, aggressive. With his possible signing, Bayern could see the next Effenberg, that the team has missed for some time.

I'd love to see Gattuso joining Bayern, but I honestly can't see it happening. Madrid or Barça will most likely steal him.
Of course though, I'd love to see him join. If he doesn't, Flamini would be pretty good tbh.
Deco is finished, I don't want him.

Even though Gattusso is a great player, i don't believe that article in one bit. Yeah, there could be interest from Bayern Munich. But considering that it's from the Italian media, who tends to make up stories (like Toni moving to AC Milan, etc) i'm not gonna let myself get carried away.
Taking the fact that the Deco & Flamini article is from Bild, i will consider it, since most of the time they get it right.
Deco? Hell no. He has lost his form from like 2 seasons ago. We don't need him
Before, i used to think that Flamini was just an ilusion. But now that after doing a good season with Arsenal and see them crash out on silverware this season, might motivate Flamini to at least consider the move. Us having such a great squad, he knows he will be able to make it with us. Since ZeRo will no longer be with us after next season and MVB soon moving on. The situation doesn't seem so bad for him. Taking the fact that he's young is a huge boost, considering that we can benefit of having him for a long period of time. I have seen him play a lot this season and i'm sure he'd do well with us.

^ Oh. Didn't know that.
But still, we would have to splash cash for Gattusso while Flamini could come in for free. So, my vote goes for Flamini.

I agree with all of you that Deco is a by-gone player. Gattuso has always been a thorn in bayern's side when we would play Milan in the CL -- he is a ball winnner and a scrapper. Although that is exactly what MvB is -- and I can see Gattuso getting too many red cards. We need a DM who can work along side MvB after Ze retires, and who is attack minded -- gee, that seems to be Borowski which is coming to us. As for Flamini, I am not sure about his transition from the EPL to the bundesliga, Arsenal have a completely different system and style of play.
Anyone else want to take a shot at new rumours or making stuff up?
Come on, lets look at realistic players who would make sense.

That's why I said it, because it is fun to shoot the shit about this crap, but if you want to figure out who is really coming to Bayern -- either wait until Bayern actually signs a player or become a manager at Bayern.
Here's one for you -- Ronaldinho snubbs Milan and wants to go to Bayern.

Hehehe, lots of excitment happining here. I dont really like to see Gattuso at Bayern 1) his age 2) too aggressive 3) shitty attitude 4) like to argue with refs too much. Flamini on the other may not be such a bad buy but I have my doubts over him, the ideal Defensive Midfield is either De Rossi or Essien imo. Borowski could replace Ze Robert after next season, but Mark Van Bommel will stay until he reitres (I totaly agree with this). I would like to see Nasri at Bayern though but that would cause more upset in the team(Altintop and Schweinsteiger) for next season I beleive we could have a very balances squad as it is, just a reserve GK for Rensing in case that Kraft isnt an option and maybe a striker who is willing to stay on the bench for Schaludraff, other wise I think we have enough, Kroos will have better playing time next season. I just hope that Klinsmann wont screw up to bring some idiot from his beloved EPL.

Report: Cristiano Ronaldo and Fernando Torres to join Bayern
15/04/2008 22:09
Ronaldo, Torres Linked With Bayern
Bayern Munich sporting director Uli Hoeness has suggested that the club will swoop for a pair of high profile players this summer, mentioning that deals with Cristiano Ronaldo and Fernando Torres were all but sealed.
The Bundesliga leaders spent a club-record $40 million last season to bring French winger Franck Ribéry in from Marseille and Hoeness said that Bayern would spend even more this offseason.
"We'll spend as much as it takes," he said. "We understand that getting Ronaldo and Torres could costs upward of $300,000,000, but we are prepared to do that.
"If it takes more, we'll spend more. We have not limits."
Obviously it seems like a stretch the German club could lure both players to Allianz Arena, but Hoeness said the ink is in "the process of drying."
Hoeness wouldn't elaborate, but he said a deal for a world-class goalie was also in the works.
"I don't want to mention names, but he's a very successful world-class goalie and after the Ronaldo and Torres deals are completed, we will anounce his signing also," he confirmed.
Hoeness didn't say which current Munchens would be moved to open space for Ronaldo and Torres, but Miroslav Klose, Lukas Podolski and Bastian Schweinsteiger were at the top of the list.
"It will be tough to see some of them go, but Miro, we've only had him a year, so that's not a big deal. I mean, what did he really do for us this year anyway?," Hoeness said. "Podolski and Schweinsteiger are very important to us and Germany, but if they don't turn things around quickly, we will have to send them off to the highest bidder."
Hoeness said the moves would make Bayern the favorite to win the Champions League next season and that there is "no cost too steap for that."
Hoeness admitted in the final part of Tuesday's interview with Bild that Ronaldo and Torres were lured to Germany with bonuses of a daily peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
"That," Torres said, "it what really sealed the deal. I mean, I could stay in England and score another 30 goals, but now that I've done that, it's time to conquer another league.
"Plus, I really love PB and J."
Ronaldo said he would rather have "turkey and cheese," but that PB and J was a decent comprimise.
"Well, they are paying me $85 million a year," Ronaldo said before trying to retract his statement because terms of the contract are supposed to be private.
He continued: "What's the big deal I guess. You already know about the sandwich, what's $85 million?"
Torres' deal is also believed to be $85 million a season. Both contracts run through 2017 with club options bonuses of up to three sandwiches a day if certain criteria are met.
New coach Jurgen Klinsmann is glad about the signings, but said: "I hope I'm still going to get the PB and J they promised me."
