He looked good in the U21 Euro last year, but we already have too many mids. Pointless signing IMO

What position does he play?
----
Just saw. Defensive midfield. Not a bad pick. ZeRo & MVB will soon call it quits, you know. ZeRo a bit sooner.

Well I wouldn't rely on someone that has never played for a top club before to fill in for Ze Roberto. And we have Ottl

Nah lol it was a joke mixed with a bit of sarcasm. Ottl is a good reserve, not more than that.
When we have to replace ze Roberto, a top class DM must be signed, someone proven, not an U21 from Belgium.

True but still, he has to replace Ze Roberto in 2009 when Ze leaves.

Yeah, Borowski is at least better than Ottl and/or this Belgian kid, which I've never heard of, by the way.

O'Neill Plays Down Munich Trip
Martin O'Neill has stated that his midweek trip to watch Bayern Munich was not as significant as the rumour mill has suggested as he explained that he was just taking in the game.
The Aston Villa manager travelled to Germany to watch Bayern play Getafe and speculation was rife, if somewhat misguided, that he had travelled to see Daniel van Buyten.
Apart from the fact that the former Manchester City defender did not appear, O'Neill insisted that not much should have been read into that trip.
"Watching football is my job. I think we would have to be active at this time of year, but the same applies for every single club. Interview any manager at all and they'll be doing exactly the same thing;" he told the club's official website.
"It's important for us to try to strengthen the squad. Like most other Premier League sides we have a good scouting network. We want to try to do something about it and the more players I can see personally, the better."
O'Neill is already planning for next season and has said that he may well go back in for players that he missed out in January.

IMO we shouldn't sell him, although he isn't a starter anymore, he is still a pretty decent reserve. Plus, his experience could make a huge difference in CL.

Milan Chasing Young Bayern Duo
Reports from Italy have claimed that AC Milan are targeting 23-year-old Bayern Munich right-back Christian Lell as well as winger Bastian Schweinsteiger.
Lell has well and truly broken into the Bayern first team this season, making 38 appearances - the most of any defender.
He may not yet be a German international, but Milan have been monitoring his progress and appear to be considering a summer move for the 23-year-old.
New Deal Or New Club?
Lell's deal with the Münchner expires in 2009 and the Rekordmeister are keen to extend his stay at the Allianz Arena, but the incentive of more money abroad could prise him away from the Bavarian giants. Lell currently earns around €2m a season, significantly less than other defenders at the club, but has yet to begin negotiations about a pay rise.
Milan believe that quick actions this summer and the offer of a significantly higher wage could see them snag the right-back for a relatively minor transfer fee, but Lell stressed money would never be the deciding factor. "When you hear that such a top side has registered their interest in you it's obviously a huge compliment," he told Bild. "But for me it's not about the money but the sporting prospects."
In Klinsmann's Plans?
What that means is unclear: at Bayern he currently has competition for the right-back spot with Willy Sagnol, although Philipp Lahm - who looks likely to remain at the club - is also capable of switching from his favoured spot at left-back. Additionally, Lell has yet to hear anything from incoming Bayern boss Jürgen Klinsmann as to whether and to what extent he features in plans for next season.
Schweinsteiger Too?
Meanwhile, Bild are also reporting that Milan are interested in another 23-year-old Bayern man, Bastian Schweinsteiger. Like Lell, his deal in Munich expires at the end of next season and the Italian side have regularly sent scouts to monitor his progress.

I can't see it happening, Schweinsteiger is a Klinsmann favorite, or at least he used to be. As for Lell, he is having a good season so I'm pretty sure they'll get his contract renewed.
I don't think Bayern will even consider the possibility of these 2 leaving.
