While his time here will be remembered well, players do come and go. It happens.
New ones fill old shoes. Someone will step in. I have faith that the team will be smart in their spending and positioning of new players.
He will be missed, though.

Lúcio's future at Bayern Munich seems to be even more uncertain after he conceded his wish to leave Germany.
The Brazilian defender is currently in his seventh season in Germany, having left Internacional Porto Alegre to switch continents in 2000.
He has been linked with a move to Barcelona at the end of the season, with reports suggesting the Blaugranes to have offered the 29-year-old a pre-contract.
Despite interest from Bayern Munich in keeping their veteran defender, Lúcio is determined to look for a new challenge, but denied any agreement with Barcelona.
"There isn't anything official, but I have been hearing that a lot in Spain," he told a German press source.
"Still, it is time to leave Germany. I am feeling well at Bayern, but it is time to go."
The Brazilian international, who arrived at Allianz Arena in 2004, is said to be allowed to leave the German giants should any club make an offer in the region of €15 million.

It's sad to hear this actually, I just hope it is not true, even though it looks like it's true.
There must be something true if there's a Lucio story everyday.
Let's hope the club comes up with some official words, would clear some things up.
Ahh man, this has totally broke my heart. I'm quite pissed off now, this changed my mood. :/

To be honest i really don't mind if he goes .....
His best Performances are behind him now and we should mention that he has been very clumsy lately .... so i think 20m for him would be good for use .
We should add 5-10m and get Merte ... Problem solved .

You may not mind, but others surely do.
Very clumsy.. Are you kidding me? Lucio has been very solid, I can't understand where you got this 'very clumsy' to tag his performances with.
The only matches where Lucio could be criticised for are the HSV clash at home (as he made the error which lead to a goal for HSV), and the Aberdeen away match (as he wasn't very much concentrated). I can't think of any other.

When he picked up the ball in front of the area and then lost it in the midfield, which lead to Schalke's goal in the Allianz Arena.
Lucio hasn't been very solid, he has had some great performances and some bad ones, overall I'd call his season as good, far from 'very solid'.
He has clearly lost his motivation to play for Bayern, if he wants to go, then I say let him go. He is one of my favourite Bayern players, but if he feels it's better for his career that he leaves, then I say let him leave and cash in on him.
Lucio isn't the only CB in the world, atm I'd take Demichelis over him.

Barcelona Confirm Lahm Interest
According to Munich newspaper TZ Barcelona have admitted that they are considering a move for Bayern full-back Philipp Lahm in the summer.
The Catalan giants have been monitoring Lahm's progress for a while as they prepare for a shake-up in the summer and sporting director Txiki Begiristain has now confirmed it.
"He's on our wishlist," he told TZ, adding that they've been tracking the German international "for years."
The newspaper reports that Barcelona have already made an official approach to Bayern for the player, but further details have not been released.
Lahm recently lost his starting spot as Bayern's left-back to fellow German international Marcell Jansen, but put in a strong display at the weekend against Bayer Leverkusen, covering for the injured Willy Sagnol and suspended Christian Lell on the right side of defence.
Bayern are still hoping that Lahm, a Munich lad, will decide to stay on and sign a new deal at the Allianz Arena, not least because incoming coach Jürgen Klinsmann is a big fan, but a strong performance in this summer's Euro 2008 in particular would increase significantly the competition for his services.
English sides Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have made enquiries about the defender in the past.

Lucio Not For Sale!!
Bayern Munich chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has told all interested parties, including Juventus that Lucio is not for sale.
The Brazilian centre back has made it very public in recent weeks that it is his intention to leave the club, and move to Italy or Spain in the summer.
“It is time to leave Germany. I am feeling well at Bayern, but it is time to go," he said only a couple of days ago.
Juventus had emerged as one of the favourites to sign Lucio, with the Corriere dello Sport claiming last week that he was their number one defensive target for the summer.
However Germany legend Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has made Bayern’s stance on the matter very clear.
“The reality is that Lucio has a valid contract until 2010,” the 1982 World Cup star said.
“We will not set him free and will not sell him.”
Lucio has played 70 times for the Brazilian national team, and was a star at the 2002 World Cup in Japan and Korea, where he picked up a winners medal.
The classy stopper, who is famous for sparking counter-attacks by bringing the ball out from the back, rejected moves to Juventus and Roma in order to join Bayern in 2004.

Damn it. You beat me to it, again i was gonna post that.
Anyways, great to hear that the board aren't willing to let Lucio go, even though it's a bit messed up considering the fact that he wants to go.
As for Lahm, he's one of my fav players and i would be glad if he stayed.

First, with rumours about Lahm leaving and Bayern interested in Lazio's Valon Behrami - then it seems that Bayern could even make a profit with selling Lahm. With Lell doing so well, and with Jansen already great at LWB, then great.
With rumours about Lucio, it is good that Rummenigge has stepped up to quell rumours, but Lucio had stated that when his time at Bayern was through then he would definitely leave Germany. He really didn't establish when, and that could be when he retires and goes back to Brazil. Even though he mentioned wanting one day to play in Italy, Spain or England -- he could stick around like Sagnol. Lucio is an excellent CB and not perfect -- so everyone who is dogging him for making mistakes shouldn't. Its funny how when Mertesacker makes mistakes, everyone still wants him -- Yet Lucio is a leader, an excellent player, a fighter for the ball, and he gives his all.

Thanks god that Rummenigge has notified abut Lucios status, but I still think that is not enough to keep Lucio here if he want to leave...
and about Lahm, I dont believe that rumours an think he will stay, first reason is that he is born Munchener and second, Klinsi is comming...

Did you guys watch Switzerland v Germany yesterday?
You could have witnessed that Behrami is such a good player.
He was probably the only Swiss player that played good that night.
No doubt top teams want him.

He would be a great add to the team. I wouldn't mind Lahm sticking around if his performances improve as well as sagnol.

Bayern Interested In Belgian Midfield Star
Quote:
According to reports in the Belgian media, Bayern Munich are interested in signing midfielder Marouane Fellaini from Standard Liege.
Bayern scouts have already watched the impressive defensive midfielder in action on numerous trips and have liked what they have seen.
The 20 year old international player has Moroccan roots and was watched in action at the weekend as Liege took on Mechelen in a 1-0 away win.
English sides Tottenham and Everton are also reportedly monitoring Fellaini with Liege Sporting director Luciano D’Onofrio claiming that Everton have already made an enquiry.
Fellaini however still has a contract with Standard until 2012, and the Belgian side will no doubt be keen on holding onto their youngster should they qualify for next season’s Champions League.
