Makes sense. I always had in the back of my mind that something messed up was happening for Zenit to make it like they did. If so, then Zenit need to be stripped of the UEFA cup trophy, and bayern and rangers compensated. We will take Arshavin for free as compensation

I seriously fucking hope that it's a lie! Because it's not about referees being bribed or something like that, they're claiming that Bayern were supposedly paid a couple 10 million € to lose the match on purpose with such a high defeat. If this turns out to be true, I am a fan of Bayern no more. If there's one thing I hate, it's cheating in sports. And having my favorite team throw a game on purpose, especially an important game like this one... Well I personally couldn't stomach it.
I mean FUCKING HELL, you who are saying that you hope it's true, are you nuts?:S Bayern lost that match 4-0, now if only the refs were corrupt, I think pretty much everybody would notice it, because we're not talking about a draw here or a small win, it was a HUGE win for Zenit. If the match indeed was fixed, it's only natural to assume that Bayern had something to do with it as well. Bayern have already denied this and like I said, I seriously fucking hope that it's all a lie and it was really just a freak loss.

I hear you and i would feel shitty as hell too... Something came up in the Spanish Newspaper.
According to El País, Guenadis Petrov (one of the maximum criminal leaders in Tambobskaya) allowed a spanish judge called Baltasar Garzón to listen to recorded conversations betweem russian mafia persons in which in the conversations they talked and confirmed having bribed Bayern Munich with 50 Million... They dunno if it's euros, dollars or what. But the quantity is 50 million...
Baltasar Garzón has already come in contact with the district attorney's office of Germany to inform them about it. The Germans have agreed about a more extent investigation but that it shouldn't involve the Spanish.
UEFA has also opened an investigation.
If this shit actually becomes true, i will no longer support Bayern Munich. They'd have sold their soul to some Russian fucks and thrown away the chance of a European trophy... and getting us humiliated too.

I just read that Bayern has assured the district attorney's office of Germany that "they know nothing of this".

Unfortunately, that doesn't really man anything. That's the position Bayern has to take no matter what in this situation.
I really hope this isn't true. Absolutely awful that this has come up.

Agreed. It would be simply devastating, not only to us, but to the whole football (soccer) world.

I understand how everyone feels, its a very delicate situation, unfortunatley its not the 1st case in the world, Juve did this in the CL. Everyone knows that the Russians are big mafia sons of bitches. I doubt that Bayern would agree to this shit, after all we have our Bavarian pride. KHR and Hoeness wont accept bribes, especially in a competition which we targeted ourselfs. Just remember guys that its a the spanish press that is statin this, and Zenit will face Real Madrid soon, so I think its all fiction just to raise some hell before that match. Even if the case is real itself I wouldnt be too worried about Bayern, but that match was screwy all over, we were tired and clueless, they were on form and fresh, if this shit is real they must have bribed the ref and Rangers rather than Bayern. Also I doubt that you guys who are sayin "I will no longer be a Bayern fan" truly mean that. All of us here we true Bayern maniacs, even if we really accepted the bribe, theres no reason to "quit" none of the Juve fans did when they match fixed with officials. So why should you? IMO Atleast it wasnt us the ones who match fixed.

Juve never fixed a CL match, or any match for that matter. Calciopoli was not about match fixing, and that's not what got Juve relegated.

Well I do truly mean that. Bayern has been my favorite club ever since I started paying the smallest bit of attention to football, but still.. with something like this... no way. If it's true, I'm out. I can't imagine anything worse, they can sell Ribery tomorrow and that wouldn't even piss me a tenth as much as this will if it's true. I'm just a man of principle I guess.

I would truly hate to know that Bayern accepted any kind of bribe. It would really show that they really didn't give a shit about the UEFA cup, even with all of their posturing to the opposite, and would be willing to sell out. And what other games would we be willing to sell out on? Let Shalke and Werder win the title this year if they paid behind the scenes?
Especially with Bayern dealing with any Mafia types would be a huge disgrace. I really couldn't live with myself, after all the years I have been loyal to Bayern.
Yet, Bayern don't need money. I felt at times that Bayern have thrown games for unknown reasons, even though I couldn't prove it. Football can be so screwed sometimes, but I sure as Hell hope that Bayern have deep principles and that they never under any circumstance throw any game -- I don't care if it is for a paper trophy.
