Lahm was shite in Belgrade, that's true.
But, I do justify it.
1. The pitch was horrible.
2. He just came back from injury.
3. He wasn't even 50% and started.

I agree, all palyers did complain about the pitch. Lahm is one the best left back player, also hi is good at right back position, we saw him a lot of times in National squad. He is not fit 100% yet. we all know his qualities.

Lahm: "I want to improve game by game"
Bundesliga.de spoke with FC Bayern's Phillip Lahm about winning Wednesday's cup match, his health and why he supports team-mate Lukas Podolski
Phillip Lahm has had a rollercoaster ride this season for FC Bayern. Solid performances are his trademark, but an unlucky knee injury during a training session in early September forced him sit out several weeks. The German international defender made his comeback against Red Star Belgrade in the UEFA Cup.
Lahm was also in the line-up for Bayern's convincing 3:1 DFB Cup win over Borussia Mönchengladbach. As usual, the pint-sized player was impressive in defence, and a constant threat down the wing.
After the match, Lahm met up with bundesliga.de to explain his thoughts on the game and the team in general.
bundesliga.de: Phillip Lahm, how is your knee faring?
Philipp Lahm: "It held up very well. Thank God it didn't give me any problems."
bundesliga.de: How would you rate your performance against Mönchengladbach?
Lahm: "I played a good game. I've only been back in training for the last ten days, and before the UEFA Cup match against Red Star Belgrade, it was only four! Obviously I'm not 100% fit, but the most important thing is that the knee holds up. I want to improve from game to game."
bundesliga.de: Were you happy to be up against 'Gladbach's Marko Marin. After all, at one metre 68, he's two centimetres smaller than you are.
Lahm: "As long as I play well, I have no problems against anyone, regardless of how tall they are. So I tend not to worry about the size of my opponents."
bundesliga.de: Who would you prefer to play in the quarter-finals of the DFB Cup?
Lahm: "The best thing about the cup is of course that you get to play at home. We know that we are just as strong away, but things tend to go a bit easier in your own stadium."
bundesliga.de: Do you think there is a team that could beat FC Bayern this season?
Lahm: "There are so many games, so a defeat can happen. We just have to ensure that we always perform to the best of our ability. If we do that, it will be tough to beat us."
bundesliga.de: Surely the team is brimming with self-confidence right now.
Lahm: "Naturally we feel self-confident, but we also know that we have to constantly work hard to justify that. You saw that against 'Gladbach. Despite being a 2. Bundesliga club, they gave us problems early on. Having said that, with the team they have, Borussia would do very well in the Bundesliga."
bundesliga.de: If Bayern are having problems, they can always rely on Luca Toni. He seems to be able to score at will.
Lahm: "Things can stay that way too, after all that's his job as a striker. The same applies to Miroslav Klose. He came on as a substitute and he scored."
bundesliga.de: Lukas Podolski didn't get on the score-sheet.
Lahm: "No he didn't, but you have to recognise how he performed. He worked hard and set up both of Luca Toni's goals. That's what we would like to see from all three strikers."
bundesliga.de: Will you be in the starting eleven for Saturday's clash against Eintracht Frankfurt?
Lahm: (laughs) "That depends on how I get over this match against 'Gladbach!"

Improving a game by game in tis case means that Lahm is working on his form .
He wants to be the Lahm before this Injury = the best full back !

Lahm: I Want To Play For Barça
Philipp Lahm has issued a plea to FC Barcelona to sign him by revealing that he dreams of moving to Camp Nou before he is too old to have the chance.
The German international full-back will not be popular with his Bayern Munich bosses after stating that he has a strong desire to leave the club for a 'big forein club'.
After rising to prominence in the World Cup Finals in 2006, the 23-year-old is looking for pastures new after just two seasons in the Bundesliga gaints' first team.
Lahm, who celebrates his birthday on November 11, has no doubt about where his first choice would be and he thinks that he could be the ideal replacement for Gianluca Zambrotta at FC Barcelona.
Stating that he is still a bit young to move, the full-back is keen to make his intentions known and set up a transfer in the next couple of years.
"I would love to continue my career with Barça because, like Chelsea or Real Madrid, is a team that allows you to grow," he told Bild.
"I am 24 very soon now and I think that an ideal age to join a big foreign club is when you are 25 or 26. When you are 29 it it maybe too late."

We all know that not every player is loyal to the end to a club. Those players are rare.
Not happy to hear Lahm talking about Barca or any other team. But, however, he's not talking about immediate transfer there.
Normally you wouldn't say that (what Lahm said) as a Bayern player, but I kinda see his point, as he hasn't won a major European trophy with Bayern yet.
But, he made me angry, because he thinks other teams can win it. Why doesn't he trust Bayern?
His contract runs out soon, and Bayern will want to renew with him. If he doesn't extend, Bayern will sell him. No chance a new Ballack story will happen with us again. And, teams like Barca or any other who show interest in Lahm, will have to pay big money.
But, if Lahm extends, trust me he won't be going nowhere. And, chances are he'd stick with the team till the end.
We'll see what will happen.
Two things I'm sure of:
1. He will not be sold in the 2008 summer transfer window.
2. The board will have a talk with him regarding the statements.

Press: Lahm to Barca?!
Could it be a match made in heaven? Lahm wants to join Barcelona and, apparently, Barcelona want Lahm to join them - eventually...
Spanish sports daily Marca claims that Philipp Lahm's dream move to Barcelona could come true, but not until next summer at the earliest.
Lahm, who has publicly stated his desire to switch to the Camp Nou, has repeatedly turned down contract extension offers from Bayern Munich, meaning that he'll be all but free to leave in June 2009 on a Bosman ruling.
Moving quickly to secure his services, Barcelona have effectively already agreed a contract with Lahm for that date, upon which he'll become a blaugrana player.
However, there is still the option of a paid transfer for the 24 year old full-back next summer. Bayern won't let him go in January, but they could be tempted to cut their losses before or after the European Championships.
At present, the Bavarian outfit are said to be looking for 15 million euros, which Barcelona feel excessive for a player entering the last year of their deal.
However, there may be room for negotiation to bring the German international to Catalunya a year early for a four-year deal.
