It's true gentlemen. fcbayern.de confirms it:

Quote:
Bayern withdraw Lahm contract offer

Talks between Bayern and 24-year-old defender Philipp Lahm over an extension to the player’s current contract have concluded without an agreement, prompting the club to withdraw its original offer on Tuesday. As things stand, Lahm would be free to leave Munich on a free transfer once his current contract expires on 30 June 2009.

Sell the motherfucker in the summer. It's the best for us, we'll profit at least 10 million from his sale.

In 2009, he'd leave for free. And, I'm sure during the whole year he'd continue to play crap because of no motivation.

I was actually hoping he would extend, this came as a total shock.

No, no, no.... he is the one of the world best backs, I still hope he will stay... He didnt play well last time but I think this is only a bad period for him and he will be back.

Yeah if he is sure that he want to exit it is better to exit this summer only because of money!

NO DAMN IT!!! Fucken hell are the board this idiotic? The best full back in europe will be goin either Barca or Man Utd. They are gonna lose him like they lost Ballack, FFS the board shouldnt be so closed minded, sure we have Jansen and Lell but Sagnol is about 32 and I dont beleive Gorlitz is starting material, this is so fucked up. You raise him up, loan him for experience, take him back, play him as a regular for 3 seasons then you fuck up on his contract, just perfect. Klinsmann better do somethin about this otherwise its goodbye Champions League.

Why do you blame the board? It's Lahm who doesn't want to stay.

How can we want to be one of the best Clubs in Europe when we sell our best players like smaller clubs ???

We shouldn't Buy Barca's shit anymore ( Van Bommel ) we mustn't sell Lahm, Ballack or any other player in their best .

For Fucks sake !!! Fuck you Lahm you fucking piece of shit, Lell was better this season but we kept giving you the opportunity ....

AND WHERE THE FUCK IS KlinsDick ? I was absolutely sure that he convinced Lahm to stay .

I personally really hope that Lahm extendes with Bayern as I feel he'd be a vital part of the team in the years to come, but if he doesn't want to, then I agree with Trim. We should offload him as soon as possible to at least profit from his sorry ass. It's the most logical thing to do. Start looking for a replacement right now and sell Lahm for as much as possible.

Are you saying that Van Bommel is shit?? Dude. He was our best player last season and has had a really good campaign this season. How is he "shit"?

--

I gotta say, this totally motherfucking blows.

I really look up to Lahm and i saw him as one of Bayern's "faces". Where people thought Lahm, instantly thought Bayern Munich. As how it happens with Rooney with Man Utd, etc.

There's a statement from him:

Quote:
Bayern look set to sell Lahm in the summer for a large fee to prevent him leaving on a free transfer next summer when his current contract expires.

Fresh from the German Cup win on Saturday, Lahm has admitted in an interview with Stern, that it is “very possible” that he will be quitting the Allianz Arena.

“I stand by my decision; my career plan allows that I will leave Bayern at some point, and not only when I have passed my peak” he explained.

“I played for two years at Stuttgart and I am now in my third year of playing for Bayern, the best team in Germany. Therefore it is the logical next step to move abroad.”

The talented full back has cited his desire to win the Champions League as one of the major motivations for his wanting to leave.

“There are a handful of teams who have more financial clout than the Bavarian giants.

“These teams play with yet more tempo and security” Lahm added. “And for every professional the biggest motivation is to win titles - above all the Champions League.

“The bigger the club, the greater the probability that you will win it.

“I don't believe that we will be able to make it to the Champions League final in 2009” he added.

Lahm has also stressed that incoming coach Jürgen Klinsmann will not be able to convince him to remain at Bayern. “I won't make a decision dependent on the question of the coach.”

Goal.com - Transfer Zone - Bayern Withdraw Lahm Contract

--

If he really said that, about going to a club with "more chances of winning the CL", he can go... It sucks terribly cause he was one of my favorite players but if he's gonna take up that attitude where "i hope the team does the effort while i only pitch in a little" instead of saying "i'm gonna stay, give it my best and with the great squad that we have; we'll have a fair crack at making it to the CL final next year"...

That's a sucky ass attitude to take up. That was Ballack's statement. That was Pizarro's statement. Them both wanted the CL prize and traded their honor (IMO) for a "team who might make it".

It's a loss to the team cause Lahm was really usefull, playing both sides. I know he has been a bit irregular this season but we all know his true potencial.

Too bad he had to take up this attitude.

I blame the board because they do not even try to convince the player to either change his attitude or his plans, Lahm is a huge vital part of the team, I doubt that anyone in the fullback position can do what he do. The board is too big headed like they can replace anyone in the team.

He's basically saying that we shouldn't be buying players not needed by other clubs, but should instead just go after their best. Which is all fine and dandy in theory, but not that cheap really. With Van Bommel Bayern got a pretty good player, so I don't really see a problem here. We don't really have a choice with selling those who want to leave tho, it's not like Bayern can't value the talent they have, I'm sure they're willing to offer plenty of money to keep them here as long as possible, but Lahm's obviously pretty much made up his mind so unless Klinsmann can be very (VERY!) persuasive when he talks with him (if he hasn't already), he's more or less gone I imagine.

Oh and after reading what Lahm said, I now actually really hope that he indeed does leave and then I want Bayern to win the Champions League next year! That would show him!=)

Still I wonder who Bayern think they will replace him with? I mean we already failed with Tobias Rau and had to re-sign Bixente Lizarazu and for some time played Hasan Salihamidzic as left back, Jansen is good candidate but what happens when he is out?

Thanks for that interview part, Vargas.

Now, I officially don't have a little bit of respect for Lahm, and I hope he leaves as soon as possible.
He's a Munich born and bred, and doesn't have a little respect for the home team. Shame on him!

Surely he has pissed a lot of FCB fans with those words.
He reminds me of Ballack, he said pretty much the same stuff. And then, he was whistled from the fans.

Balle wanted to win trophies at Chelsea, and what he won? He won shit! Wanted to win the CL, but he ain't winning it.

Lahm can go, he'll end up as Ballack, winning nothing. And then, he'll come back at Allianz Arena to watch FCB like Ballack, saying to himself 'oh damn, why in hell did I leave?'.

Do us all a favor Lahm, leave in the summer!
