Because of the injury he picked in Florence, Schweini is rated doubtful for the away league match against Schalke.

Schweinsteiger Tempted By Foreign Adventure
Quote:
Bastian Schweinsteiger has admitted that he is tempted by the lure of a high profile move abroad this summer, while being sure to stress that extending with Bayern Munich is also an option that has a big appeal to him.
With the contract of Schweinsteiger due to expire in 2009, it looks likely that Bayern Munich are going to have to stump up the cash if they want the German international midfielder to extend his stay with the club.
The 24-year-old will be available on a free transfer in the summer of 2009 if Bayern cannot convince him to sign a new deal at the Allianz Arena. Bayern have said that they want him to stay, but it could now be a matter of price.
According to reports in ‘Kicker’, Schweinsteiger’s advisor has already had contact with AC Milan, Juventus and Inter over a possible move for the Bayern ace.
"Playing abroad would be very attractive," 'Schweini' recently confessed to Bavarian TV.
"There are a lot of possibilities with Bayern, though. They are the best club in Germany and belong to the top five in Europe.
"It is a great honour to play for this club.
"We will just have to see how it pans out. I will not say anything for certain at the moment."

He might be saying that to add pressure on the board regarding his extension. That he wants a decision soon so he can act depending on what they say.
Also, it means that he wants more $$$.

Furthermore, Bastian Schweinsteiger required “competitive conditions” for a fitness test on his injured shin. “It’s still heavily bandaged, and I need to make sure I don’t take another knock to the shin. But it should be enough for Saturday,” the 24-year-old reported. Klinsmann also reckons Schweinsteiger’s fitness for the Mönchengladbach clash will be “no problem.“

Exclusive interview
Bastian Schweinsteiger: ‘I’ve definitely matured’
Quote:
Munich on Tuesday at 7 pm: three good-looking young men in dark suits enter the Hugo BOSS store in Maximilianstrasse. More than 100 invited guests are waiting on “three top international models from Milan,” host Stephan Lehmann quips. The trio in fact comprises Michael Rensing, Lukas Podolski and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
The Bayern stars joined official outfitter Hugo BOSS for an exclusive charity auction named “Fashion meets Football“, where they helped raise some €6,000 for club charity FC Bayern Hilfe e.V. The players signed autographs and chatted away to the guests in the suitably laid-back and informal atmosphere.
Bastian Schweinsteiger appeared very much at home in the world of fashion, possibly thanks to his year-long relationship with model Sarah Brandtner. fcbayern.de asked the 24-year-old midfielder whether his appearance matters to him, and how much his partner influences his choice of menswear.
Interview: Bastian Schweinsteiger
fcbayern.de: Bastian, what does fashion and looking good mean to you?
Bastian Schweinsteiger: “Less than people seem to think. I’m a spontaneous type of guy, I dress according to the mood I’m in and the weather. I just put on things that go together well, and that’s it.“
fcbayern.de: Are you interested in fashion trends?
Schweinsteiger: “Yes, a little at least. I check the shops to see whether there’s stuff I like, but I’m not predisposed to anything in particular. I don’t make a song and dance about it. After all, I do have someone at home who’s pretty well acquainted with the world of fashion.“
fcbayern.de: You mean your partner, who’s a leading model. How much does she influence your choice of outfit?
Schweinsteiger: “Since we’ve been together, I do dress differently. But I don’t wear things because she tells me to, but because I like them and feel good in them. When we go shopping together, she does sometimes pick things out for me, and I’ll say: Hey, that looks good. She has a good eye for clothes which go well together. But sometimes I’ll say: no, that’s not for me, although her suggestions are spot on most of the time. Occasionally we bring each other items from the city. But if I go with her when she’s shopping for clothes, I always look for a little corner of the shop where I can stay out of the way (laughs).“
fcbayern.de: Are you vain?
Schweinsteiger: “No, I wouldn’t say so. I look after my appearance, but I don’t think that makes me vain, does it?“
fcbayern.de: Do you think today’s footballers are more closely watched for their style and fashion than in the past?
Schweinsteiger: “I think so. The public, and especially the media, keep a very close eye on what you’re wearing and how you look. There’s definitely more coverage than in the past, but also because the players pay more attention to their fashion and hairstyles. Although if I think back to the haircuts favoured by our manager [Uli Hoeneß] and Paul Breitner, they were certainly out of the ordinary.“
fcbayern.de: Would you agree that Bastian Schweinsteiger has matured, both as a footballer and as a person?
Schweinsteiger: “I’m obviously a different guy compared to the start of my career. I do different things on the field compared to when I was 18, and I’ve come a long way in general, but that’s normal with increasing age. It happens to everyone.“

LOL!! Nice one! After all the faith that Bayern has put in him, I think he owes Bayern a few more seasons.

Juve are reportedly willing to pay him 4.5 million euros per season.
If that's true, than Bayern will have to offer him minimum 5 million euros per season.

Lets just settle this once and for all, and pay him enough money where he will never leave. Give him 6 or 7. I hate Juve and I hate to see any of our players go there. I was sad to see Salihamidzic go there a couple of seasons ago.
