Hitzfeld is one of the greatest German coaches ever, I'm glad he's back!

It's probably true, Hitzfeld can make Bayern play to their full potencial.

This is blasphemy, Bayern is crazy! F*ck Bayern!

The only good thing about this is that maybe now he will consider more seriously the thought of coaching the Puerto Rican National Team.

Calm down mate. You have to understand his frustration, Bayern are in 4th (!!!) place and have the best team in Germany

Calm down yo. STFU.
I never said anything against your nation or your country. And when I said "f*ck magath" I never mentioned it on national way. It was just personal.
So calm down!!!

Bayern set off for Friday's away trip to Bavarian rivals Nuremberg brimming with expectation and optimism, but the Reds party turned for home later that night empty-handed and with much to ponder. The champions had been hoping for a return to winning ways in the state derby, but Ottmar Hitzfeld's first game back at the helm ultimately ended in the biggest of their six league defeats to date.

"I knew I'd taken on a tough assignment. But I'm slightly surprised at how tough it's going to be, especially after returning and then suffering a 3-0 defeat," the newly-installed boss mused afterwards. "Now I know just how much work lies ahead," the 58-year-old continued. "We have far too many problem areas in this team."

Seven away on international duty

The coach and his long-serving assistant Michael Henke plan to use the time until their home debut at the Allianz Arena against Arminia Bielefeld next Sunday to work on the problems, initially identifying and defining the priorities before actively tackling the main issues. "The main thing is to restore our zest and freshness," Hitzfeld opined.

In an ironic twist of fate, the General will be without a clutch of his key personalities at the outset of a vital week for the club, as seven of the starting line-up in Nuremberg have been called up for international duty, including the entire back four.

Hargreaves to sit out England match

Willy Sagnol is in the France squad for a prestige friendly against Argentina in Paris, with Belgian colossus Daniel van Buyten on duty for Les diables rouge against the Czech Republic in Brussels. Lucio joins his Brazil team-mates for a meeting with Portugal in London, while Germany's friendly against Switzerland in Dusseldorf features Philipp Lahm and Bastian Schweinsteiger, although the midfielder misses Sunday's Bielefeld clash with suspension after collecting a fifth yellow card. The Germans also include Lukas Podolski despite the striker's suspension at international level, as they prepare for a crunch EURO 2008 qualifier against the Czechs in Prague on 24 March.

Finally, Owen Hargreaves has been included in the England squad for next Wednesday's meeting with Spain in Manchester despite having played just once since breaking a leg nearly five months ago. "But I won't take part in the match," Hargreaves declared firmly in Munich on Saturday. "I just want to show my face in the national set up, and take part in a couple of training sessions."

Extra training

Hargreaves said he would return to Munich in midweek to begin preparing for the Bielefeld clash. "It's all or nothing for us on Sunday," the man recently named England Player of the Year announced. "We'll be in completely different form. We're on the verge of a new era. We don't want to be judged by what happened against Nuremberg."

"All I hope is that the players are successful and come back to us with more confidence," Hitzfeld remarked. The seven international stars apart, the coach will supervise a full squad for the next training session at 3.30 pm on Monday as he begins to set his unmistakable seal on the team. A total of eight sessions, including two apiece on Tuesday and Thursday, should assist Hitzfeld in turning the Bayern ship around over the next few weeks.
