Viagogo partners with FC Bayern
Viagogo, Europe’s leading secondary ticketing company, agreed two new partnership deals with FC Bayern Munich in Germany and Everton Football Club in the UK to give fans a secure and legal way of trading match tickets.
The deals make viagogo Bayern Munich and Everton’s official secondary ticketing partner and its service will enable current season ticket holders at the clubs to legally sell tickets to fellow fans at selected home fixtures.
Viagogo is an online secondary ticket exchange that allows football supporters to buy and sell live event tickets in a safe and guaranteed environment. It facilitates the exchange between people who want to sell and people who want to buy live event tickets. By managing payment and delivery the company guarantees that buyers will receive their tickets and sellers will receive payment.
The Bayern Munich deal is the first relationship of its kind in continental Europe, following viagogo’s launch of successful partnerships in the UK with Manchester United and Chelsea FC.
Eric Baker, CEO of viagogo said, “viagogo is committed to the European market. Our partnership with Bayern begins a new phase of maximising our presence on the continent. It reinforces our leadership of a European marketplace that we estimate is worth €6 billion €8 billion. Only viagogo has the flexibility and experience to deliver a benchmark service across borders. Our sales across Europe have already exceeded our expectations and we are confident that we will continue our explosive growth.”

Bayern sack Magath
Quote:
Bayern Munich have sacked coach Felix Magath, according to German media reports.
The Bavarian giants slipped to fourth in the Bundesliga last night after a 0-0 draw at home to lowly VfL Bochum, just four days after a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Borussia Dortmund, and German daily Bild reported on its website that Magath has been shown the door by club bosses.
Magath's predecessor, Ottmar Hitzfeld, is favourite to take the reins at the Allianz Arena until the end of the season.
Magath led Bayern to successive league and cup doubles in the past two seasons after moving from Stuttgart, though they currently trail 6 points behind leaders Werder Bremen and Schalke, who both have a game in hand.

It was a poor performance home against Bochum.I'm not surprised Magath had to go.

Indeed, Magath should had left earlier in the season.
Anyways, I hope Hitzfeld gets the job again and leads Bayern to the Bundesliga title

And here I was going to make a joke that Felix should worry after only drawing with Bochum at home.
Sheer panic on the part of Hoeness, Rummenigge, et al. Especially given his lack of control over transfer decisions and the impact of injuries to the likes of Hargreaves.
I don't think either buying Poldi or selling Ballack was his idea.
What an odious club they are.

Bayern reappoint Hitzfeld after sacking Magath
BERLIN, Jan 31 (Reuters) - Bayern Munich sacked coach Felix Magath and replaced him with former boss Ottmar Hitzfeld in a shock move on Wednesday.
The coaching change came the day after a goalless draw at home to relegation candidates Bochum left the 20-times German champions in fourth place in the Bundesliga, in danger of slipping eight points off the title pace.
'We had to react due to concern over a Champions League place for next season,' Bayern said in a statement.
Hitzfeld, who has been appointed until the end of the season, won the Champions League with Bayern in 2001 during a long and successful spell as coach.
Magath replaced Hitzfeld in July 2004 and guided the club to league and cup doubles in each of his first two seasons in charge.
Magath wrote off the side's chances of making up the deficit to win the Bundesliga again in the wake of Tuesday's home draw with Bochum.
'We don't need to talk about the title any more,' Magath told reporters. 'We have to make sure of getting second or third.'
Bayern are also out of the German Cup after losing to modest Alemannia Aachen in December.
They are still in with a chance of winning the European Cup - a competition they last won under Hitzfeld in 2001 - with a second round Champions League tie to come against Real Madrid.

FC Bayern München - Website, has just confirmed it.
Magath has been sacked, Hitzfeld has taken his job and will be our coach for the remaining part of the season, at least.
Great news. Forza Bayern!

Bayern general manager Uli Hoeneß left the Allianz Arena without uttering a word after the final whistle in Munich's first home fixture of 2007. A few minutes earlier, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge had disappeared into the warren-like corridors of the stadium, a look of consternation written across his features. "I need time to get over this game," the Munich chairman remarked, unwilling to offer any further comment. "I need to sleep on the whole thing."
The pair, who make up two-thirds of the Bayern board of directors, had just witnessed a goalless draw against 15th-placed strugglers Bochum, and another serious dent in the Bavarians' hopes of defending the Bundesliga crown. "There's no point talking about titles at the moment. We need to try and win two or three matches, and then we can talk about it again," Hasan Salihamidzic offered.
Gap could widen to eight points
Mark van Bommel was of a similar opinion. "We've put the championship out of our minds, but we won't completely lose sight of it," the Dutch midfielder remarked, aware that the gap to the Bundesliga's leading pair could widen to eight points by Wednesday evening. "We never thought we'd only take a single point from two matches," Van Bommel continued, surveying the champions' dispiriting false start to the second half of the campaign.
The 64,000 at the Allianz Arena saw the home side make a lively enough opening on Tuesday. The side sent out by Felix Magath appeared committed to wiping the slate clean after last Friday's much-criticised 3-2 defeat in Dortmund, but for all the Reds' determination and graft, a string of promising chances went begging.
Shorn of confidence
Van Bommel was guilty of missing the best of the lot on 34 minutes with only Bochum keeper Jaroslav Drobny to beat and with time to pick his spot. "No excuses, that has to go in, and then we'd have won 3-0," the midfielder lamented. Instead, Bayern yet again dropped points against a team struggling in the lower reaches of the league.
The Bavarians enjoyed the bulk of the possession, won more tackles and delivered 23 shots on goal to the visitors' eight, but the statistics mask the home side's increasing lack of inspiration as they ran out of ideas against Bochum's deep-lying defence. Neither second-half sub Lukas Podolski and Roque Santa Cruz was able to make a decisive impression. "Failing to take clear-cut chances is all about a lack of confidence," Magath mused afterwards.
Must-win derby in Nuremberg
The coach, perhaps prophetically, appeared to redefine his target for the season. "We can't talk about the title any more. We're too far behind. We need to concentrate on finishing second or third," he declared. Captain Oliver Kahn felt the situation was less dramatic: "I still believe we can win the league, even if it doesn't look too promising right now. But Bayern can always bounce back and win seven or eight games in a row."
Ideally, the men in Red would begin a winning streak this Friday against state rivals Nuremberg. "Whatever it takes, we have to come away with all three points," van Bommel observed, "even if we play with nine men or the boss picks himself." The Netherlands enforcer can little have suspected that Friday's line-up will in fact be picked by a new man at the helm.
