I'm the same way Trim, age has no relevance in this case and I hate it too when age is brought up. ZeRo can easily play for another 2-3 seasons based on his current form, but I would love for him to stay at least one more, then we can send him off in style.

Klinsmann: Zé Roberto Worth His Weight In Gold
Quote:
Bayern midfielder Zé Roberto is in the form of his life right now performing superbly in midfield, scoring goals and even filling in as an emergency full back in the absence of Philipp Lahm. Trainer Jürgen Klinsmann says he is “worth his weight in gold”.
The 34 year old Brazilian has arguably been the club’s top performer so far this season in a variety of roles and the Bayern trainer has paid tribute to his value to the Bavarians.
"A player like Zé Roberto is worth his weight in gold" Klinsmann told the Tageszeitung. "He has the technique, the accuracy of passing that we want to see."
His tireless work seems to have helped Bayern out of their early season crisis and he himself believes he is enjoying one of the best times in his career. "I think that I’m having my best period in a Bayern shirt" the four-times Bundesliga champion confessed.
"I feel that I’m in good form. I had a good pre-season and feel physically top-fit. Because of that I can really help the team with my performances."
Zé Roberto scored a double against Bochum earlier this season only to see the lead slip after he was substituted and his goal against Lyon in the Champions league helped secure a valuable point against the French champions.
Bayern summer signing Tim Borowski, who has had to settle for a permanent substitute’s role this season, has also acknowledged the contribution made by the Brazilian. "Zé is in fantastic form despite his age" he quipped.
His current deal with Bayern runs out on 30 July 2009 and he is widely tipped to leave with the American MLS a potential destination. "It’s too early to talk about that" he commented.
"Right now I just want concentrate on my work at Bayern. Thank God that everything is going well for me."

Uli Hoeneß on a potential new contract with Zé Roberto:
Quote:
|
“Zé is a really likeable and emotional guy. It’ll all come down to how he’s feeling when we talk in the spring. If that’s all OK, I’m sure any talks we hold will last seven to twelve minutes at most. It’s really not a problem at the moment, we need him to stay happy and fit. If he maintains his current form, we’ll obviously do our best to keep him another year.“

Ze Roberto Looks To Life After Football
Quote:
Bayern Munich’s Ze Roberto has hinted on what he hopes to do when his football career comes to an end, in a recent interview with Sport Bild…
The Brazilian midfielder Ze Roberto currently plies his trade with the German outfit Bayern Munich, in the Bundesliga. He has spent some seven years at the club, since moving there from Bayer Leverkusen in 2002.
The 34-year-old devout Christian has recently taken part in an interview with the magazine Sport Bild, and discussed his desires for life after football.
He made reference to the fact that he would love to preach one day, as well as study theology, to help him with his cause.
“I can only imagine how good it would be to be a preacher,” the Brazilian said.
“I will most likely study theology for 4 years, which would be a rewarding experience for me, and for my family,” he added.
Ze Roberto, who has been strongly linked with many top clubs in Italy and Spain throughout his career, only managed to play for Real Madrid, where he made 15 appearances in the one season, back in 1997/98.
He is a fantastic player nonetheless, and seems to be a great human being.
He concluded the interview by saying that, “religion is very important to me, and it is a fundamental aspect of my life.”

Maybe he can start next season as a player-pastor with Bayern's team. He can convert the doubtful of Bayern. Maybe when we have bad games he can also cast out the demons at Bayern. Whatever he does, just stay with Bayern for one more season!!
