See what she does then. You will have basically turned the tables on her. Tried this a few times, always works.

Default Kahn eyes perfect send-off

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Oliver Kahn is preparing for his final pre-season training programme with the same enthusiasm he has displayed throughout his 20-year career.

The 38-year-old retires from football at the end of next season but is determined to end his glittering career on a high note.

He called time on his international career after helping Germany finish third at last year’s World Cup, and is eager to go one better when he bows out of the domestic game.

He won’t be able to claim the biggest prize in club football as Bayern have failed to qualify to the Champions League, but victory in the UEFA Cup would offer the giant German some consolation.

Kahn is also eyeing the Bundesliga crown and the German Cup in his swansong year as he bids to sign off with a treble-winning campaign.

He told Bild newspaper: “I want to win everything once again.

“Last season, there was no reason to be in a good mood, but that season now belongs in the past.”

Kahn returns to the training ground on Friday, where he will be joined by a raft of new faces, brought in following Bayern’s dismal campaign last season.

Nine new arrivals will report for their first session of the summer, including the impressive triumvirate of Luca Toni, Franck Ribery and Miroslav Klose.

But despite the addition of this impressive trio to the club’s ranks, Kahn expects the driving force behind the club’s coming campaign will be coach Ottmar Hitzfeld.

Kahn added: “I think Ottmar is just the right man to get everything under control.”

Default Kahn: This is definately my last season

Bayern Munich captain Oliver Kahn has revealed he will hang up his boots at the end of the season.

The veteran goalkeeper has admitted that age will have caught up with him by the end of the forthcoming campaign, and will then head to Asia, where he won the Golden Ball at the 2002 World Cup in South Korean and Japan.

“I’m 39 next year. It will then be time to put the shorts away. After that, I have one or two things planned in Asia. They’re a little behind in terms of the level of goalkeeping over there. It will be interesting to help them develop in that area.”

“I have visited these countries a number of times, I was in China, Japan and Korea, and made a lot of friends there. I very much like the mentality of the people there. I’m looking forward to my time there, and the work will certainly keep me busy for a couple of years.”

As regards his final season with Bayern, Kahn said the club’s heavy spending in the transfer market, which saw them land stars such as Franck Ribery, Luca Toni and Miroslav Klose, gives him huge grounds for optimism.

“It’s only fun at Bayern when you’re top of the league. That’s why I believe that we’ll have a lot of fun and I’ll be in a good mood.

“[The team] will have the opportunity to challenge on all fronts and win all possible titles. That’s my goal, my desire. When you’ve been playing for 13, 14 years, you don’t want to end your career on a season like the last one.”

Default Kahn relishing the start of his 21st and final Bundesliga season

Bayern Munich captain Oliver Kahn is relishing the start of his 21st and final Bundesliga season next Saturday as the German giants bid to become national champions for the 21st time.

Tough-talking Kahn publicly lambasted his own team last season for their lack of spirit as they slumped to fourth in the Bundesliga and missed out on a Champions League berth for the first time in 11 years.

But Bayern's board dug deep over the summer and spent 69 million euros bringing the likes of French midfielder Franck Ribery, Italian World Cup winner Luca Toni and German striker Miroslav Klose to Munich.

And the injection of fresh talent has left Kahn believing Bayern can pick up some silverware in his final season before hanging his boots up.

The 20-times champions open their campaign at home against newly-promoted Hansa Rostock on Saturday.

"What I feel is not nostalgia or melancholy, it is more like a feeling of euphoria. I have been doing this job for more than 20 years now, but I am really looking forward to this season," Kahn, 38, told German newspaper Bild.

Bayern have already lifted the German League Cup in pre-season with Ribery announcing himself as their new star with three goals in two games.

But despite having beaten VfB Stuttgart, Schalke 04 and Werder Bremen (who all finished above them last season), Kahn still expects fierce competition from Bayern's rivals.

After facing Rostock, Bayern face a challenging start taking on Bremen, Hanover, Hamburg and Schalke, so Kahn is in no doubt Bayern face stiff competition from their main rivals.

"Stuttgart and Bremen will both be much stronger in the Bundesliga than we saw in the League Cup, in terms of aggression and desire, there won't be much to choose from amongst the top sides," added the Bayern goalkeeper, who won 86 caps and captained Germany.

Kahn says the squad has been rejuveneated by the arrivals of the likes of German defender Marcell Jansen, Schalke midfielder Hamit Altintop and the return of Brazilian forard Ze Roberto.

"New players always bring new energies and everyone wants to be ready to win their place at next year's European Championships and I think that will have a very positive influence on the team," said Kahn.

Kahn has been particularly impressed with 24-year-old Ribery, signed for 26 million euros from Marseille, and set to be one of the stars of this year's Bundesliga.

"He is a player who plays instinctive football, you never know what he is going to do," said the skipper.

"He took over the number seven from Mehmet Scholl and that suits him perfectly, because in the dressing-room he fires people up.

"When I see players like Franck in the side, I know we can do something good this season."
