It's about time ?!
He has been great this season, absolutely no mistakes. This is probably his best since winning the CL.

I know it might sound to you like I hate Kahn. No I don't. I got big respect for my captain, but it's time to retire honestly.

Kahn still first choice
Bayern Munich coach Ottmar Hitzfeld has insisted Oliver Kahn is still his first choice goalkeeper despite an impressive performance from stand-in Michael Rensing against Milan in the Champions League quarter-final on Tuesday.
Rensing, 22, pulled off two superb point-blank saves to limit Milan's strike force to two goals at the San Siro while Kahn served his suspension for throwing a urine sample against the wall during a routine drugs test in the last round.
But Hitzfeld confirmed the former Germany international would be back in between the sticks for Saturday's Bundesliga clash with Hannover.
"We all know that Kahn is our number one, but I am delighted for Rensing that he fulfilled our expectations," Hitzfeld said. "It is good to know that whenever Kahn is unavailable we have him - and his chance will come soon."

We'd be at least 3 down with Kahn on goal yesterday though.

Most likely not, but he'd concede the two headers Rensing saved with great reflexes, I'm certain.

Kahn blasts Bayern failure
Bayern Munich skipper Oliver Kahn has criticised his team's attitude after their 2-0 home defeat against Milan saw them crash out of the UEFA Champions League.
The former Germany international felt that the 2-2 first-leg draw in Italy somewhat paralysed Ottmar Hitzfeld's squad ahead of the return leg.
"I was probably the only one who did not celebrate our last minute equaliser in Milan, because I knew how difficult the task would be," said Kahn.
"I would have preferred to lose 2-1, because then we would have shown the same attitude we did against Real Madrid [when Bayern lost the first-leg 3-2].
"Then we were able to put up a great fight as we knew we had to win."
While less than enthusiastic about his own side's display, the veteran goalkeeper was magnanimous in his appraisal of Milan.
"To me Milan is probably the best team at the moment," he added.
"They don't need five or six chances, but only two opportunities to score twice, they are technically gifted and defend extremely well."

Wow, Now he says it. When the game was going on he should've rallied the troops.
I can respect his leadership but it's too late, you never bash your own players when the game is over.

Kahn has not given up yet
Bayern Munich captain Oliver Kahn says he has not given up hope of retaining the Bundesliga title.
The Bavarian giants have been stuck in fourth place in the league for several weeks and are currently six points adrift of leaders Schalke.
However, the experienced shot-stopper believes that a lot can still happen in the remaining five weeks of the season.
"We are, of course, focusing on getting third place," he said after his team's 2-1 win over Leverkusen on Sunday.
"But we wouldn't be Bayern Munich if we didn't completely believe in everything that is still possible. A lot can still happen.
"I've experienced a lot of things in my career. At the moment the teams above us keep winning, but that will change at some point."
Bayern travel to third-placed Stuttgart on Saturday knowing that defeat could see them miss out on a UEFA Champions League berth next season.

Captain's rallying cry | Kahn: 'Saturday's game begins now'
Oliver Kahn will never forget his final appearance in a Germany shirt, a 3-1 victory over Portugal in the 2006 World Cup third-place play-off. The venue was Stuttgart, and a crowd of more than 50,000 gave the veteran keeper a standing ovation on his lap of honour. "I have extremely fond memories of the occasion," the 37-year-old revealed on Wednesday.
Kahn returns to the Gottlieb-Daimler stadium on Saturday, but he can expect a very different reception from the home fans when he appears in the guise of Bayern captain and goalkeeper. "It'll be warm in every respect," the player conceded.
Major opportunity
The unofficial South German derby is always a hard-fought affair, but the situation in the table adds an extra edge to the 80th meeting between the sides. Both are desperate to qualify for next year's Champions League, but fourth-placed Munich lie two points off Stuttgart in third, exactly the minimum position Bayern intend to occupy in the final standings.
"This match is a huge opportunity for us to recover third place by our own efforts," the club captain declared. It is also Bayern's final meeting with a top of the table rival. "There's a huge amount at stake for us," the keeper continued, embarking on an emotional appeal to his team-mates.
Vital importance of Champions League
"Saturday's game begins as of now, with afternoon training. Every one of us must focus exclusively on this match, with total and absolute concentration." Kahn denied he would need to offer his team-mates additional motivation in his position as captain. "We've already talked it through as a team on Monday. There's a great deal at stake for the club. It's exceptionally important for Bayern to play in the Champions League."
"The players have a duty to give something back to the club," Kahn continued, naming a top-notch performance and three points in Stuttgart as a starting point. The keeper acknowledged the severity of the task, describing VfB Stuttgart as a surprise package this term, "but up at the top by right. We're taking them utterly seriously."
100 percent focused on victory
What would be the decisive factors on Saturday? "We have to use every weapon available to us - fighting spirit, creativity and technique. Compared to the return against Milan, we all have to play at 100 percent on the day," the skipper thundered. "I'm personally ready to give it everything and make it my total priority. I'm hoping for another set of fond memories from Stuttgart after the match."
