Default EPL: Everton 1-1 West Ham

Poor game in all. We didnt deserve to win and to be fair West Ham would had if not for some amazing Keeping by Howard. This game in as a whole shown the big problems within our team, we need to invest in the summer in order to ensure we keep pushing the Big 3 and Liverpool as much as we can.

Howard pulled out some wonder saves and shown exactly why he is in my opninion one of the best keepers in the league.

I was happy with Neville performance, he is he new scape goat for the fans it seems, but as a right back I really think he is quite solid, he defends well enough and has the best cross completion rate in the league, we may need to bring in a new right back next season if we can, but if not Phil is more than capable of doing the job there.

Jagielka and Lescott had a solid enough game. Lescott faultless as always and Jagielka was one of the best players on the pitch for 80 mins, but for the last 10 mins he just seemed to have lost his confidence and his nerve and made 2 mistakes which had we been playing a clinical opposition we may had conceeded, but other than that Jagielka proved he is good enough to be a regular at cb. Both players were subject to constant pushing etc from Ashton, which thanks to terrible refereeing from Halsey, he got awa with for 90 mins.

Baines was great at left back and looks back to full fitness, his pace is immense and on the ball attacking he really doesadd something to the team.

Carsley was solid as a rock and really is one of the most important players in the team, he really is totally nderrated the work he does for the team, completely solid in his defensive midfield role.

Osman had an average game but was outmuscled and just couldnt really compete fully with the west ham midfield. was swapped from winger to cm alot, with cm being his best position but within a 4 man midfield we cannot allow such a light player to be there.

Cahill lasted 10 mins before leaving injured. Looks like he was taken off as a precation, he needs time to rest before the derby, if he goes to play for Austrailia midweek I'd be disgusted, we just dont look the same team without him.

Arteta had a poor game by his standards, alot of poor passes and crosses and never really got going. Hopefully he will be back to his usual self next week.

Manuel Fernandes looks nothing at all like the player he was last season. He looks completely drained of confidence, and never done anything special. Lost the ball quite alot and seemed to just be on a mission to get the crowd on his side and impress them with indiviual moments than do simple passes which we needed. I dont know whats up with him but no way on this performance will he be wearing a blue shirt next season.

Anichebe shown to me today he won't really make it as an Everton player. He never really offered us anything and again tired very quickly. For someone who is a young lad and should be full of energy he looked very lazy, even just leaving a brilliant through ball by Jagielka which could had put him 1 on 1 with the keeper. He had a few oppertunities to put the Yak through on goal and chose to shoot. Very unimpressive.

The Yak was great again today put both his goals in the back of the net when called upon, although one was offside. He is a great player who will benefit even more with the return of AJ, a player who is completely selfless and will give the Yak the oppertunities for goals and Pienaar, our most creative player this seaso.
