Everton are strongly fancied to renew their interest in Wigan's Welsh international midfielder Jason Koumas, reports the Manchester Evening News. Koumas has surprisingly failed to hold down a regular place in the Latics starting line up following his £5m transfer from West Brom last season.

Dave Moyes is showing the door to three of his squad. Thomas Gravesen, Andy van der Meyde and on-loan Tottenham defender Anthony Gardner are heading for the Goodison exit door.

Everton would be interested in exploring the possibility of luring Michael Owen back to Merseyside. It was the team he supported as a boy and where his father Terry once played.

This was in the daily mail too, if he leaves Newcastle because they are offering him a contract with a lower salary then so say he'd come to Everton for what we would pay him is ridiculous.

The right-sided playmaker is out of contract at The Hawthorns this summer, and has attracted a number of admirers due to his superb end-of-season form.
Aston Villa, Middlesbrough and Bolton were known admirers of Gera, who joined Albion from Ferencvaros for £1.5million in 2002.
The 29-year-old has made over 100 league appearances for the Baggies, playing under Gary Megson, Bryan Robson and Tony Mowbray during his time in the Black Country.
But despite playing a major role in steering Albion back into the Premier League for next season, Gera looks to have been lured to Goodison Park by Toffees boss David Moyes who can promise UEFA Cup football secured by a fifth-placed finish in the top-flight table.
Gera caught the eye when grabbing match-winning goals in away victories over Wolves and Norwich during the promotion run-in.
His advisors are believed to have agreed personal terms with Everton, who are looking to strengthen their midfield pool following the departure of Thomas Gravesen, and Gera is set to sign on the dotted line if he passes a medical on Merseyside.
Baggies boss Mowbray has already reportedly made moves to replace Gera by lining up a bid for Derry City's highly-rated Patrick McCourt.
The Candystripes winger, 24, has suffered an injury-ravaged season but remains one of the eircom Premier Division's most talented players.

Would be a good squad signing on a free.

Everton want to bid £11m for Valencia winger Joaquin. (News of the World)
This isn't the first time Everton have been linked with Joaquin recently, according to Sid Lowe Joaquin would rather stay in Spain but if the money is on offer in England he could be swayed and there haven't been any concrete offers or interest for him yet, but he definitely wants to leave Valencia.
He'd be a great signing, although you'd have to wonder what it'd mean for Arteta if he joined.
Still it could just be like Riquelme last year

£11M is maybe too much money for Everton...? I can't see him end up at Goodison.

Everton boss Dave Moyes is pondering a move for Nurnberg midfielder Zvejdan Misimovic. The free-scoring Bosnia international is on Moyes' shortlist of potential midfield signings, though no decision has yet been made about making a firm offer.

Everton are launching an £8 million bid for Liverpool reject Alou Diarra. The Mirror says Everton boss Dave Moyes has immediately put Bordeaux's highly-rated Diarra at the top of his hit list.
Diarra, 26, was with Liverpool as a teenager but never played in the first team. Moyes tried to sign him before he left and has been on his trail ever since.
The powerful player, now capped a dozen times by France, only joined Bordeaux from Lyon at the start of the season and has helped them finish second and make next season's Champions League.

Really has been total silly season with the last week the club being linked with an uncountable amount of players.. from the top of my head:
Diarra
Dudu
Jo
Arshavin
Joaquin
Fernandes
Hennessey
Misimovic
Owen
Bradley
Bodde
If only we could sign them all :P
So many people have been putting up 'in the know' posts on Everton forums... and I've been told so many 'in the know' rumours off people it's ridiuclous. One which always seems to crop up is AJ leaving... although iv'e been told for fees between 7-10 million... exactly the same fees which people are banding round about Owen.
The 18million Jo bid is the most ridiuclous in my opinion.
To be honest with all this speculation in the papers I wouldnt be surprised if we signed someone in the next couple of weeks. Would love to see Arshavin or Joaquin wearing the blue shirt.

Dave Moyes isn't expected to push through a deal for Valencia midfielder Manuel Fernandes. Moyes is already lining up alternative targets and The Sun says this means Everton will not try to make Fernandes' loan deal from Valencia a permanent switch.

It's hilarious some of the players that Everton have been linking themselves too.
Jaoquin, Dudu and Jo are all far too good to waste themselves at Everton.

MOYES HANDS KENWRIGHT EVERTON SHOPPING LIST
Exclusive by Alan Nixon
Everton boss David Moyes has handed chairman Bill Kenwright a list of 24 targets as he tries to spend the club's transfer budget.
Moyes has told Kenwright which players he is interested in signing with the £20millionplus kitty he has been given - as revealed by People Sport last week.
The priorities are a striker, a midfield general, a right back and a left winger as he looks to make his big push for the top four next season.
Moyes will leave the discussions for players down to Kenwright and his sidekicks, with Marseille's Albanian skipper Lorik Cana the latest top name in his sights.
The Goodison gaffer watched long-term target Cana last weekend as he looks for a midfield enforcer. He has also had Bordeaux's Alou Diarra checked out for the same vacancy.
Moyes also hopes to pull off a coup by landing CSKA's Brazilian striker Jo, with Zenit St Petersburg skipper and attacking star Andrei Arshavin an alternative.
The ambitious Scot wants to spend all of his cash on new faces, but the size of his list has stunned Everton, who will work their way through the options - finding out costs and wages - before finalising which players to buy.
Manchester United will be cleared to speak to Cardiff City's £10 million whizz kid Aaron Ramsey this week, but Sir Alex Ferguson faces a job persuading him to come to Old Trafford.
Ferguson's offer of £5million plus a further £5million in extras - and the chance to go back to Ninian Park on loan for a year - is ideal for the FA Cup final runners-up and they will allow the 17-year-old starlet to go for talks.
However, Ramsey and his family have yet to be convinced that United is the right move for him at this stage of his fledgling career.
Ramsey, who became the second youngest player to appear in an FA Cup final, has also been sounded out in the past week by both Liverpool and Arsenal - while Everton and Aston Villa have also made significant moves.
Liverpool will find it hard to raise the money but Rafa Benitez may offer a player in partexchange. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is equally determined and Everton - with money to spend - are also in the race.

Good to see Moyes is being assertive and has set out to get the players he wants early.
