Default Goal of Euro 2008?

I have three favs, but I think we come out with more to remember.

Robben vs France..... Robben gets subbed on the pitch , the hole game changes within 5 mins he sets up Van persie score, then later he gets ball down the left, makes Abidal and Thuram look silly, from near impossible angle scores past Coupet, great goal.

Nihat vs Cech, it's the run and finish that makes me love this goal, fact it was against a bloody fine goal keeper too, but nothing Cech could do, be silly to come out as it was too far out, no way he could jump that high to stop it, lovely curling ball to top right corner.

Torres vs Germany .. I loved the pure strength of his run to get passed Lahm, thought it was brillant, then to nicley chip it over Lehman, what class. Pass was brillant too.

My two personal favorites are chosen not only for beauty but the way they changed the game:

1. Nihat's second vs Czech Republic- an amazing finish, passed into the top right frame of the goal. Ended one of the greatest comebacks in Euro history.

2. Ruben De la Red vs Greece- Absolute power, the goalie got a piece of it and could do nothing. You can't strike the ball much better than that and after that goal the game was in Spain's control.

I think Germany's first goal against Portugal the goal of the tournament .....

spectacular team work from 5 players, Lahm, Podolski, Klose, Ballack and Schweini.

That was a class goal indeed, symbolizes football.

I've heard it from a lot of analysts and experts, they say it's the best goal of the tournament.

Van Bronckhorst heads one off the line, then gallops down the left wing onto Van der Vaart's clever pass, swings a perfect crossfield ball onto the head of Kuyt well beyond the far post, Kuyt shows great awareness to nod the ball down for the arriving Sneijder, who hooks it past Buffon and inside the near post from about ten yards.

Stunning goal.

Best strike of the tournament for me was Zlatan against Greece, went like a bullet.

Honourable mentions to Arshavin v Sweden, Schweinsteiger v Portugal , Sneijder v France & Super Ballack against Austria.

the assist of the euro belong to Iniesta: to david villa in the 2nd goal against russia in the group stage.
takes the ball, dribbles for a few seconds, notices the clever movement of david villa and send the ball between 5 russian players. just like a knife in hot bread.

2nd best assist: Fabregas to Guiza against Russia!!

goal of the tournament, hmmm.......
Ibra v. greece was awesome.

if you consider the whole attack and teamplay, then:
schweini v. portugal - first goal
OR
sneider v. Italy

*We had an amazing euro

I really liked Nihat's goal v Cech, just because the strike was as perfect as it could ever have been.

But Gio's goal against Italy was imo the best (even if the Azzurri defence couldn't keep up with a pensioner pushing a trolly that night).

I think Sneijder's goal v Italy was the best as well, that one completely took me by surprise & was the perfect counter-attack.

Nihat's finish v Cech was amazing, I thought he'd made it harder than it needed to be because after he made a fantastic run his first 2 touches got the ball almost stuck under his feet but he was able to dig it out and put it past Cech incredibly. But I think the defending might have been too poor for that to have been goal of the tournament. And also as far as a pure strike goes Ballack's freekick was probably better imo.
