Greece is a very tough team folks.Open your eyes. They have been playing exciting and great technical football.I seriously think they can be title contenders.
Romania is another team I respect immensely. Those 2 will be massive dark horses.

Especially when they were in a tough group!
They're a defensive minded team, so you cannot take the lightly.

It doesn't matter cause you guys play as a team, it's the team mentality that wins games. Also, Otto understands how to use his players, you guys are not about attacking or flash, flare but in playing good defence, strategizing....You wait til you get the best out of your opponents and then score!

Certainly not a fluke I agree. But the likelihood of it occuring again? I just can't see it happening.
I sincerely hope I'm wrong, becuase after all, Melbourne is the city with the third largest Greek population in the world (inc. Greek cities!), so as you can imagine, the partying will be as ferverent as Euro 2004.
My prediction is a France-Germany-Italy-Portugal-Spain affair as many are expecting. Watch out for Romania though. They are the dark horse.

Greece played Holland 3 weeks before EURO 2004, Holland gave them a 4-0 thrashing. So i don't think that tells too much
That said, i don't think Greece will play a big role in this tournament

Greece is and will be a team that is vary difficult to play against. You will have to be on your game to beet them. Now having said that, if all teams play to thier abilities, I dont see Greece going far. Greece needs the big teams to falter and need alot of things to go their way. It is possable, but not reliable that it will happen.
Teams (such as Portugal) that have the bad habbit of playing to the level of thier apponents (up or down) will have a vary hard time with Greece. Take them lightly, they will bite you in the ass.
Greece have to be respected (and I do) but to count them as a favourate ? I dont see it. Can they beat top teams ? Sure it can happen but would still be an upset in my books.
Teams that I like:
1 Germany (Great world cup and now are more expereinced)
2 Spain ( I think they are due. They have the tallent, but need a couple of brakes )
3 Italy (Are always one of the top teams if they make it out of the first round )
4 Portugal ( If they can get all their injured players back and playing as a unit)
Darkhorse ? Croatia

Greece is a very strong team with a well balanced core of players. but This time around I don't think they will do well in this euro. Hey I could be wrong im not God lol.. but I just don't think they will.. but of course they are a good team no doubt about it!

Greece won't defend it.
What they did last Euro was a surprise.

Trim the more people that think that, the more likely we are to win it.

euro 08/greece
obviously greece is not a favorite going into euro 08.but being a portugal supporter who saw his team lose twice to a disciplined, hard working, motivated and all around well coached team,i would advise any team and their supporters to give them the utmost respect.i just pray portugal does not run into them if we should get out of the group stage.there is quality in the portuguese side but i have no faith in scolari to motivate and make the tactical moves to get us much past the group stage.is it to late to hire the greek manager.ha.
