hanuma your team looks very good. You have to include A.Young on current form. We need pace/directness in the side.

I would consider J.Cole place in the side, although on the whole he is decent for England, our national side lacks pace and Joe Cole isnt the quickest.

Why? Pace for the sake of pace is useless. How many quick players really make the most of it? SWP certainly doesn't.

Joe really isn't better on the left.

1) Capello won't play a formation anything like that.

2) Exactly who is going to score for that team you've put out?

3) Kirkland?? Are you having a laugh?

I think Capello will go with something resembling this:

------------------Foster-----------------

Richards---Terry----RubberLips---A.Cole

Bentley-Gerrard-Manures18milrightback-Young

------Agbonlahor---FatRoons--------

Might have a flashy 20 minutes or so here and there, but it would never win a major championship. If you hadn't noticed, it's rarely ever about scoring lots of goals on the international stage.

Rarely ever about scoring lots of goals.

Tell that to the French teams of 98 and 00 and the Brazilian team of 2002.

The team i picked is strong all over the pitch, has a number of players capable of scoring within the system while not having say, an Owen who's primarily a scorer. You team has nothing. No width, no thrust. Just a bunch of players who will drop deep leaving no1 upfront.

The French team of 98 whose top scorer was Henry with 3 goals. The Brazil teams who had Ronaldo (a player far surpassing anything we have, or have had maybe ever).

The team you picked is attacking but without the quality to justify it. It would get beaten by any disciplined side with a decent defence and a decent striker.

Comparisons to sides that had Zidane, Ronaldinho and Rivaldo in them are ludicrous.
