Yeah, thanks to Owen who always sets up Rooney and never get a assist back...It was a well deserved penalty because all could see what intention Rooney had. It doesn't matter if it start happen outside the area when he continue holding him...It was a stupid challenge from Rooney who should have stopped helding him.

I'm much as upset as you. I also want England to qualify to european cup. Now it seems impossible.

At least Rooney and our english players will get the summer of.
Mclaren is a highly over rated manager, i said loads of times Sven was a brilliant manager but england fans will never accept a foreign manager.

It's hard to blame a defeat on the shoulders of one man, but where the hell was Stevie Fantastic when England needed him? In fact, did he contribute anything to the game? If that was Lampard, England would be calling for his head. Gerrard's poor performances go unnoticed, and his good performances are praised. Lampard is booed and unappreciated no matter what he does.

No one wanted McClaren. It wasnt really much of a change considering he was the assistant of Sven and did all the talking on the bench etc.
SWP should of been subbed earlier. Oh well.

pathetic all this Gerrard v Lampard bollocks when its England that they BOTH represent. i bet you were delighted that England lost so you could point the finger at him
Gerrard wasnt great today, missed a decent chance (not by much and it wasnt as easy as people will say) but he was better than Wright Phillips, or Cole, or Lescott, or Robinson, or Owen.....i lost count of the number of intereceptions he made on the edge of the box, maybe you forgot his fantastic free kick that Rooney and/or Richards almost scored from?? or his corners that caused plenty of trouble, and should have brought a goal from Campbell??
terrible result. i thought they played terribly today, the wingers and the full backs were atrocious i thought. that was where all Russia's threat was coming, Richards & Lescott showed their inexperience at this level, but Cole & Wright Phillips were equally culpable, and as for Robinson.....words fail me.
its not over til its over, but i have a bad feeling about this. and i cant believe im saying that.

The worst thing about this result is that we have to wait exactly 1 month to find out whether or not England stand a chance in qualifying or not.
Israel stand a good chance at home against Russia though, let's pray they do us a favour.

McClaren don't use Lampard in the first team because he ain't good enough at the moment. Simple like that. Even a 'out of form Gerrard' is being used instead.

It's a huge tragedy that a football country like England don't have their national team qualifed for the cup.

I am stunned. Totally expected England to win. Did not see the game so can't comment. But congratulations to the Russians.

It's so sad, that Robinson is Engand number 1,
We missed leadership in Terry today, and Heskey, Russia couldn't control Heskey last time , sure could of used him, or even bring him on for Roney,Crouch omfg... and downing..... What a ****..
