Good win for you.

Bloody diagrace your lot booed Lampard though. Funnily enough that was the loudest your crowd ever got, just shows the amount of arseholes that get into Wembley when perfectly good fans can't get tickets.
I agree Gerrard and Lampard shouldn't play together and Gerrard is first pick but Lampard is a very good player (not great, he isn't the player he once was I feel. But maybe playing a billion games in a row has taken its toll on his body) who seems like good professional - although the FrankTV thing made me dislike him alot.

I'm waiting for McClaren to fuck it up for you, like he knows how.

Can't use a player the audience don't support. Not good for the team.

too boo your own player for no other reason than......well, come to think of it......for no actual reason, is terrible.

i remember Kieron Dyer being booed in an England game at St James' after he had refused to play right wing for Newcastle- fair enough for me. Bentley getting booed for refusing to play for England in the U21 championship- fair enough although i understood why he did it. but Lampard is a good pro, very good player and has not done much wrong for England. that's just plain wrong.

Maybe AFTER a game when a team has played absolute shit and didn't work but not when you are in the middle of it and 3-0 up and cruising.

spose it becomes fashionable to jump on certain players backs from time to time. i blame the media, they love to create villains.

Beckham had it, Cantona had it, Ronaldo had it, Rooney's had it....the media start planting an idea and the dickheads who masquerade as football fans lap up every word and it leads to things like this.

Btw just noticed that all the players i mentioned were United players- coincidence?

Gerrard was poor yesterday but defientley prefer him over Lampard.

So you're judging Frank before he even got to play a full game? This is what is wrong with England and its fans. They love Gerrard so much that they're completely blind to reality. Gerrard isn't, and was never the player that everyone builds him up to be. He may get a world-class performance every now and then, but he isn't consistent. But that doesn't stop people from judging him solely on the basis of those few occasions.

I don't know why people hate Lampard so much after what he's done for England in his career, but it's wrong and unfair. Rooney didn't score for even longer than Lampard, but he doesn't get the amount of flak that the latter gets. Lampard deserves a chance to prove his critics wrong, because we all know that once he gets back into his best form for England(he seemed on the verge of it vs Germany), he is untouchable.

Why McClaren choose Gerrard over Lampard is easy. Gerrard is more complete and can do a better defensive work. Gerrard/Lampard is just simple not good partnership.

Paul Robinson hasn't perform good for either Spurs and England and have become a laughing weakness for England. If England want success, they need a more trustful goalkeeper.

The great conundrum is who are you gonna replace him with?

I think Robinson will be England number one till Ben Foster recover from injury because I predict he will be United's first goalkeeper when he's fit again. I think that's McClaren thoughts. But Scott Carson do well for Villa and Robert Green have done a good season so far for West Ham. I would go for Green as number one England goalkeeper.

Just a shame, retard fans forget that Lamps was Englands fav payer 2 years running, played shit at world cup, who actually played well? A.Cole? J.Cole?
one good performence from Gerrerd.

They need someone to blame, I was at England vs Isreal game, apart from obvious Bentley boos, J.Cole and A.Cole boos, Phill Neville got booed too for what being a Neville? it's just stupid and retarded.

People think it's gonna improve the team performence at home if you boo your own players is pretty funny.

Theese gus just jump on the media band wagon, forgetting Lampard is a world class midfeilder, with stats at the highest level, with abillity to still control games and make run into the box , he's still a vital member of England team.

No, he chose Gerrard over Lampard because England loves Gerrard and hates Lampard. People would be calling for his head if he ever decided to drop Gerrard. It's that simple. Gerrard is untouchable because of the blind love of the nation.

Against Russia McClaren should use Gerrard on the right wing and make space for Lampard in the centre. England need a more defensive team in this match.

Regarding the goalkeeper situation, I belive that England should look at Steve Harper. He's played most of Newcastle's games this season, and been rock solid. He was also very good last season (-Liverpool) when Given was out.

He should at least be in the squad.
