Default Defoe shouldn't play for England! What about AJ?

AJ seems in form, what do you reckon?

The Crouchie Monster is obviosly a shoo in. But Defoe just hasn't done anything like enough for some time now.

And then there's Bent of course.

You could say the same about Cole at left back but he's still far more talented than anyone else and the same is true to a lesser extent with Defoe, no matter how many games he's getting.

With Defoe it was more a case of his performances not warranting inclusion rather than the number of games played.

But I think his talent does warrent his inclusion. It's like when Shilton was playing badly for Leicester, he was still being picked because Greenwood knew he was the best goalkeeper. You can't tell me you honestly think either Bent or Johnson is more talented than Defoe.
