IMO the only thing interesting from that article is this quote:

Quote:
Wayne is the most important player in the team at Manchester United.
Obviously it is true but I'm a bit surprised to hear Fergie say it.

i dont know how reliable aol is for sports news but if this is true, mufcok's conspiracy theory could well be true... especially if he shows up for the first game

AOL were just reporting what was (apparently) in The Sun this morning: http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2...230273,00.html

As you said if he is in the 11 or even on the bench for the Paraguay match then MUFCOK! may well be right about his conspiracy theory.

Oh man i really wanted rooney to play in the world cup if he was fully fit, but even if there is a small doubt i hope he is dropped or something. This could ruin our chances next season if he misses first 2 months of the season which is a vital part of the season.

If he may be fit for the first came then I can't see many doubts over his fitness for the later stages at least.

Quote:
Angry Fergie sacks Rooney doctor
In a move that will inevitably be viewed as a perverse punishment for doing his job too well, Sir Alex Ferguson has sacked the ManYoo doctor in charge of Wayne Rooney's recuperation.

Despite - or perhaps because of - growing optimism that Rooney will make an earlier-than-expected return from his broken metatarsal, Old Trafford doctor Mike Stone was dismissed on Monday after a row with Sir Alex.

Stone has been responsible for Rooney’s recuperation since the striker was injured on April 14.

It was Stone who prompted England doctor Leif Sward to this week describe Rooney's recovery as "perfect". Two weeks earlier, Sward had declared: "I just talked to the doctors in Manchester and the report they gave me was very, very positive.

"We have decided Manchester United's medical team, with Mike Stone in charge, will work with Rooney’s recovery. I can say they have done a tremendous job with Wayne."

Those comments were at odds with Sir Alex's repeated insistence that Rooney would not recover in time for the finals.

In a statement, an Old Trafford spokesman confirmed Stone's departure, stating: "There was a difference of opinion on a non-football and non-clinical issue, as a result of which Dr Stone felt it is in the best interests of himself and the club for him to leave."

However, it may not have been a coincidence that Stone was dismissed less than twenty-four hours after Rooney attended David Beckham's pre-World Cup party.

After contacting Old Trafford, F365 was informed that the prospect of obtaining a clarification of events from Sir Alex was "forlorn".
Hmm, this is rather odd and if anything just adds to mufcok's conspiracy theory.

Found this in the United We Stand report on this story:
Quote:
Stone, who took over the role in 1998/99 is believed to have had difficulties with Carlos Quieroz, although the real reason for him leaving is as yet unclear.
Anyone know if that is true or is it just the natural response to blame Quieroz these days?

oh it's a load of bollocks, he left for non-football and non-medical reasons, if it was different he'd soon be mouthing off about it. The man has a broken metatarsal, people should bloody accept it and hope he heals as fast as he seems to be without fucking it worse
