and hanuma, i cant see their egos suddenly going away, lampard isnt as good as scholsey was and gerrard isnt as good as keano was so i wouldnt use them as an example, keane was willing to sit if needs be, and lampards cant and wont, and gerrard is best deployed in a role where he can go box to box.

and for the record that prat jow cole wouldnt be in my team either leadign again to a 352 unless downign can prove himself

valid point BUT it doesnt work enough at the moment, the players are too big superstars to compromise and if it goes wrong it could go very wrong, imagine having 6 men forawrd and getting caught on the break with a 4 man defence (if the full backs havent pushed up) and a goalkeeper against ronaldinho, adriano, ronaldo, kaka....

if i was doing 352 id have

gk robinson
cb ferdinand
cb terry
cb carragher
rwb neville
lwb cole
dcm parker
cm gerrard
cm lampard
fw owen
fw rooney

thats ideally, of course in the world cup for now id have ashton up top with rooney because owen dhouldnt play due to his lack of fitness. and its fluid, if we need a goal take off gary bring on a winger ie pennant/beckham/swp/lennon and push ashley cole further up as a winger and drop parker deeper still leavign two wingers and two attackign central midfielders

cool, that lineup could well be an option in the future except without g neville, surely neville and beckham wont still be playing for england in 4 years time rite? the problem is that mite be a waste of the wingers we do have as theyd only get a chance if we were chasing a goal...

when u think about it there arent actually that many great right backs who can defend and attack, i cant really think of any except gary neville and maybe cafu but hes getting on...

english rite backs at the moment are only really luke young whos decent but not great danny mills who doesnt get into an overrated man city team almost flirting with relegation and noone else really....

maybe rio or king or carragher could be pushed out wide

Great young potential talents like Johnson need game time to prove themselves.

No...I'm a bit pissed with jose about it actually...back a few months ago when we thrashed Everton 4-1 SWP and him tore them to shreds....he hasn't really played since and it's a great shame. I can only imagine it's because he DARED TO VENTURE PAST THE HALF WAY LINE....

...Sometimes you have to question the Special One.

if johnson went to spurs then he would start to show what he can do, he has a massive attitude problem liek many of the young footballers from laandaan, rio, richadson, pennant(i know hes not from laandaan but he lived there for 5 years) johnson

theres only him and young that i can think of who have been involved in the last couple of years

and danny mills is a cock and a shite footballer

Most people agree that we should take one less defender (i.e. spare right back) to get in one extra attacker.

Johnson...Cole has to play because he is the only player outside Rooney who has an ounce of flair. Add to the fact he has been Englands best or most influential player in the last couple of outings.

Gerrard is better than Keane at some things just as Lampard is far superior to Scholes in defensive duties and positional play. Its not atall a direct resemblance to the Scholes Keane partnership, but the one aspect being you wouldn't have thought Scholes and Keane could work together on paper, just as you wouldn't with Gerrard and Lampard. I'm sure if they were both at Chelsea and Fergie was the manager he could forge something similar in success to Scholes and Keane, even if the dynamic was different.
