On the dearth of English talent.

He was saying it yet again in his last show. He's been saying it every week for at least the last twelve months, and it's rare for anyone to put him straight.

He claims Sven must be doing a good job because we only have 6/7 players who are good enought. I could name that many C/Bs who are good enough, without mentioning the rest.

I agree.

We have at least three players that would get into any side in the world.

Look at out team for fuck sake:

Robinson - class keeper

We are spoilt for choice over defenders:

Neville, Terry, King, Campbell, Ferdinand, Cole, Bridge, Carragher, Woodgate

Our second choice back four is better than most countries first choice quartet.

Our midfield is very impressive. Lampard and Gerrard have recently been voted the 2nd and 3rd vest players in the World, Joe Cole has had a great season while Beckham is still capable of putting in world class performances.

As for our strikers many countries would swap their front two for Rooney and Owen.

You don't need to be paid £4,000,000 a year to be able to knock up a shit-hot side from the likes of (let's put injury and current form to one side eh):

Paul Robbo, Gary Neville, Ashley Cole, Jonathan Woodgate, John Terry, Steve Gerrard, Frank Lampard, David Beckham, Wayne Rooney, Michael Owen, Joe Cole. And say, Ledley King, Rio Ferdinand, Sol Campbell, Jamie Caragher, Peter Crouch, SWP, Stuart Downing, Michael Carrick and Aaron Lennon!

I don't have a clue where Jimmy Hill is coming from....he clearly is too old to remember yesterday, let alone the fact that we had Trevor Sinclair and Emile Heskey starting for England against Brazil in the last World Cup.

There are more technically gifted English players coming through now than there ever has been in the 10 years I have been a fan.
