FC UNITED OF MANCHESTER, variously described and derided as 'brave rebels', 'irrelevant outsiders' and 'a right bunch of dicks'. Living testament to that peculiarly Mancunian talent for gazing at the world in all it's wonder, thinking for a minute, and then muttering "Nah that's bollocks. This is how we'll do it..."

OH OH OOH! It's Carrick you know! Hard to believe it's not Scholes!

Robinson/James/????
Neville
Terry/Carragher/Ferdinand/King
Cole/Bridge
Beckham/SWP/Cole/????
Lampard/Gerrard/Parker/Carrick
Rooney/Ashton
Owen/Defoe/Bent
Pretty much the same as Russell, allthough It's not necessary to take more than 7 defenders considering the versatility of some of them...I would rather take 5 strikers and an extra attacker...maybe Lennon or Downing.

Robinson, Martyn, Green.

Beckham, Gerrard, Lampard, Wright-Phillips, Cole, Carrick, Parker
Rooney, Owen, Crouch, Defoe, Bent
Tough to choose a final one between King, Young and Phil Neville. Young is the weakest player but I think he'd be better right-back cover than just Carragher, who hasn't done it for ages and was shite at it anyway. Mind you Neville could cover his brother easily and has been pretty damn good for Everton this season in all sorts of positions. That said, I think King would edge it over Neville if he was asked to do a midfield job. Christ, I don't know.

I thought of that once I posted it. Carragher provides cover for pretty much the whole back line, I'm sur one of the other CB's could play right back if we picked up a few injuries but the likelihood is we wouldn't even get to that situation.

I have seen JJ develop immeasurably as a footballer over the last couple of years and think he is vastly underrated.
Hargreaves, not entirely sure, I think i had a mental block and couldn't think of anyone else.
