Did anyone seriously think that anything else would happen? I never once thought he'd still be in charger after WC 2006, from the day he took over till now it always seemed obvious.

What if he wins the world cup? I think England are destined to win this world cup.

I still think starting with a new bloke in charge this year will be better than changing manager in 2008. This way the new guy has 4 years before the WC rather than 2.

i personally dont think hes done anything wrong as england manager, his record is better than alot of peoples
people in this country just like to jump on peoples back, then when nothing happens they want to kill him, its ridiculous
i remember the french manager announced he will leave for spurs and they had a **** tournament.
leave the guy alone, in the end hes not done half as bad as people go on about

If that happens I think for the good of the nation someone would have to assassinate Shearer.
I hope the job doesn't go to an English manager to be honest, none of them are good enough.

is it right to say that you will leave?
Its like Boskamp at stoke, he has said he will leave end of season, fans have gone against him, what is there to play for?

yes, but even if you do well, manager goes, players have to start from scratch with the new boss

yeah, but by that token, isnt a new boss gonna come in and say "right, you were not trying in the WORLD CUP....what are you playing at?" and bring someone in with the right attitude???
i think tbh if we won the WC then we wont see beckham in an england shirt again. so thats one problem sorted...

Every england manager is given unfair treatement, england always deserve to fail just because of how the fans and media treat the players and manager. Sven has done everything right, if he had a bit more luck he would have gone on to better things but he didnt get that ie portugal 2004 and brazil 2002.
Its easy to criticse international managers, but sven has a fantastic record and thats what is going to be looked back on when he does go.
