I think England will be weak and not perform too well because Svens STILL not sure who his best 11 are...

oh dont get me wrong i love football and would watch it continuosly if i could, but i think international football is so lame.
none of the teams get enough time together to be anything other than ordinary....very few of the players care as much as they did
and club football is so much more important.
the world cup is fantastic and necessary for the global development of football, but as a spectacle it pales in comparison to the champions league.

Rubbish. Club before country every time for me, yes, but there is nothing quite like the World Cup.
Ask any player what he'd rather win and I think you know the answer.

FC UNITED OF MANCHESTER, variously described and derided as 'brave rebels', 'irrelevant outsiders' and 'a right bunch of dicks'. Living testament to that peculiarly Mancunian talent for gazing at the world in all it's wonder, thinking for a minute, and then muttering "Nah that's bollocks. This is how we'll do it..."

OH OH OOH! It's Carrick you know! Hard to believe it's not Scholes!

The quality in the CL is better but as a spectacle you can't touch the month long footballing caraval which is the WC.

The Champions league offers the better football, but the World Cup is more infectious because it affects so many people... Even people that know very little about football and don't support a club team get caught up in the moment...
When England plays in a Major the pubs are ramed, alomst every house carries a flag, and when we win a game the streets are flooded with painted faces, flags and noisy happy, sometimes hysterical people, half of whom probably can't name every player in the squad!!!
International football grips a nation, it's infections, there's nothing like it in the world!!!

Don't forget Uruguay Vs Australia
But yeah I agree, some good quality games on. It should be a good game the England - Argentina. There is so much rivalry after Maradonna and the last two World Cups.
Don't make the mistake this game is going in any way to be 'friendly'.

brillant game , all England played well to a standard..
i know we won 3-2 , but imo Since Riquelme came of the pitch (who i think was man of match by far) Argentina crumbled and with ayla of they lack brillance in defense to see of owen.
Owen 2 goals were brillant great crosses from gerrald and cole,
our two goals conceded
1st goal brdige didnt stop the run of rodriquez witch he should of, but hes lacking match experince but i faught he played well, But rio man marking WAS TERRIBLE, and for 2nd goal i blame Rio too, he messes up with blocking all the time, terry imo didnt have the best of games
But the introduction of Joe cole in 2nd half is what turned England around, even though king played well, this making us Dominate the midfield,,
so if ayla and riquelme never came of could of been a argentina victory we never know :O...
but good win for the boys ....
quick note i faught Aregntina Defense was brillant up to 80 mins,, and they made a very clumsy error to let rooney score,
