I wouldnt pick smith, as he doesnt play enough, and it looks like he will be played as a midfielder this season. Possibly ashton or johnson if they move in january and perform, or vassell if he finds form at city. I like alan smith, i just dont want him to be picked on the basis of him being a sqyuad player at man united.

well that could be bent if he keeps up his form....however that form could be entirely attributed to how good the rest of his team are playing.

they look classy and smertin is getting the chance to show what a classy player he is.

i'd say erriksson should give teddy the chance, hes stil a good player and could have a calming influence on the younger teammates, and get rooney to focus on playing against the opponents, and not vs the referees...

The way Sven plays England may as well not have any strikers because they never seem to be playing attacking football.

Maybe they could copy Italian football and play 5-4-1. Look! A counter-attack, two players are going foward!
