noone else other than owen has been given a chance to be a reliable source of goals (except lampard and rooney).
with reguards to owen.....he isnt as good as rvn....he does **** all but linger in the box THAT IS NOT WHAT HE USED TO BE.
he is not world class anymore and its not form its INJURY....his back got ****ed they changed it and now he doesnt have the explosive pace to do anything for himseld.....Defoe could do what owen does for england and much more.
clearly Rooney is going to be the most important attacking player for england.....him, defoe and joe cole are the only ones with geniune genius SKILL that can creat from nothing.
swp can at times but is more a lungs player.

i know lots of people will try and write me off as a **** after i have said this but;
heskey for england if teddy isnt aloud back.
on his day he ahs proved unstoppable against some of the best sides in the country.....he is clearly in the form of his life....he is a versatile player that can also play as a target man.
he has huge strength and good pace......like i say, i teddy doesnt come back i think he would be a very good option.

Heskey, yes, what a great choice, the striker who has scored 5 goals in 45 games internationally
Form of his life? The best form he was ever in was when he was at Leicester when he actually had some promise and scored some goals

whereas now he is a regular goalscorer, matchwinner and star player for Birmingham City.....poor logic watford.
his international goals tally has been hindered by Eriksson insisting he was a winger and by the fact that when he was playing international football he didnt understand, as he does now, the virtues of a "work ethic".

The only time I can recall Heskey playing on the wing under Eriksson was in the last World Cup against Sweden when Vassell played up front, that obviously didn't work and I cant remember him ever being picked there since.
If you want a regular goalscorer, matchwinner and star player we might as well pick Andy Cole

or not seeing as he is completely different to heskey and would do the same job as owen, defoe who are both better than him.
eskey is a unique player in england.

a complete lack of ability that means he is now birminghams most important player and consistently scores goals and gets assists.

Heskey is atrocious - if he is the fourth best striker England have to offer then winning the World Cup is never going to happen. Thankfully, he is about the 14th.

OH OH OOH! It's Carrick you know! Hard to believe it's not Scholes!

Crouch offers something different - and he is better at what he does than Heskey is.

I agree. The strikers we take are Rooney, Owen and the two or three others who perform best.

We bought Saha for 13 mil and let Defoe slip through our fingers for little more than half that price. Sheer idiocy.
