Best team we can currently put out?
Code:
Robinson
Neville Campbell Ferdinand Ash Cole
Parker
Lampard
Gerrard Rooney Wright-Phillips
Owen
Personally I'd go with this. Nice and balanced, has great defence and great attack.

Balanced?
Imagine, if you will, each England player is a pip, and the England team is the orange containing them all. Then, imagine you are an ape, bumbling your way through the jungle (the pitch). You step on said orange, which explodes, scattering the pips all over the jungle.
That is what your team looks like.
Gerrard on the RW? Wright-Phillips on the LW? Where is John Terry? And Beckham?
No.
No, no, no, no, NO!
No.

OH OH OOH! It's Carrick you know! Hard to believe it's not Scholes!

Not Parker and Not Wright-Phillips. Other than that it's ok. Formation is a bit skewiff though.

Beckham is the best right midfielder currently but he is not important to the team and in coming years should be replaced. Hes been shockingly poor for the last 4 years at club level and the last 2 years at international level. SWP the only way he can become an england regular is if he plays at a bigger club. I wouldnt put JT in front of rio or sol, as a partnership they are the best in the world. They understand each other both are big players and have pace. Also both can read each other really well. Althought i rate JT a better player then both, he just wont cut it alongside either one of them.
Also england require a defensive midfield who just sits back and that could be parker or gerrard but they have more to offer to there games so it may have to look for another alternative.

I am not from England, but I don't agree with Parker. Instead use Gerard and Lampard in the middle, so you can also use Defoe or another attacker there.

Some explanations for my team.
Rio and Sol at the back because I consider it to be a perfect partnership. Both have been there and done it at International level.
As for the midfield. Parker along side Lamps because we need a DM, and Parker is prob the best player we have for that best position.
Gerrard on the right so he run burst forward instead of being restricted like he is now under Eriksson.
SWP on the left because he is a better player than Joe Cole, and I'd want him to be like our own Bobby Pires.
If Beckham was at his best, I'd have him in the side in a shot, but he isn't. On form though he is easily one of our best players. Criminally underrated player in general, even now. People saying he is crap etc. Nonsense.

i personally think joe cole is every bit as good as wright-phillips, and is more suited to the LM slot.
parker is a good player but i would prefer to have beckham in there as he has that extra quality in the final third with his crossing, shooting and set pieces. stevie needs to be in the middle to make use of his driving energy and passing......and i think you have got to have at least one of terry and carra in there, if not both. there the best two defenders in england at the mo, and have been for more than 12 months.

Maybe we could put Beckham on the right, and put Stevie in Rooney's place? I'd have no problem with that personally. I wouldn't play Stevie along side Lamps though, as we do really need a DM.

could beckham do the DM role do u think?? if you put stevie in the rooney role which he played well for us this season (esp at anfield against the gooners), then do you drop rooney or owen, i dont think you can drop either......its a hard one.
